Seahawks agreed to terms with WR Terrell Owens on a one-year contract.

Oh boy. Owens' recovery from a torn ACL and hard-earned reputation as a locker-room cancer conspired to keep him out of the league in 2011, but the receiver-needy Seahawks decided to take the plunge after the mercurial 15-year veteran reportedly ran a sub-4.5 forty-yard dash in his Monday tryout. A bastion of good health before his knee injury and quick healer on the rare occasions he did go down, Owens' fitness shouldn't be a big concern going into his age-39 season. It's a speculative signing for the Seahawks, of course, but considering the veteran stones they've unturned in their search for receiver help, Owens' chances of making the 53-man roster should be pretty good.

Good for them. I wouldn't want his cancerous attitude around my team!

TO usually holds it together for at least a season with his new team. I think he can still be really dangerous. I don't like this signing at all.

I dont care what anyone says. 4.5 40 at 39 is impressive. 39 after ACL surgery. UNREAL. The guy is a specimen.

I did it at 41 & was still hitting 4.6. Played 6 more years of tourney softball & flag football until retiring last year...it's amazing how far the procedure has come.

With Moss in SF, Owens in SEA, and Chad Johnson in MIA, it begs the question: which controversial has-been, over-the-hill wideout has a better 2012?
