I did hear they put a warrant out for his arrest, but it is not mentioned on here.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now since they don't say he's a suspect yet. He was acquitted on the DUI but most people forget that.

That said, he's clearly got to start hanging around some different people, his head is not on straight. This has got to be driving Gibbs bananas, he's a huge part of what they want to do on defense but if he's not there, kind of hard to build a defense that features him.

Good way to put it. I don't get these guys, they're acting like playing in the NFL is a right when it's really a priveledge. You'd think they'd take it alittle more seriously by changing a few things .
Although, I'm not in their shoes, I'm not sure how I would act being a young kid making 4 zillion dollars with fame...but then again, there's a point where ya gotta grow up and your actions will show what's really important to ya

I am glad we didn't draft this guy. That would have been a big mistake. I really like the player we got instead.

MIAMI (AP) - Miami-Dade County police were looking Friday for Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor, who they describe as a "person of interest" in an assault case.
"We need to speak to him, we don't know if he's a victim, witness or suspect," said police spokesman Mary Walters. The assault happened Wednesday night and shots were fired, Walters said. No one was injured. Walters said she didn't have further details and police were still investigating.

Citing sources within the Miami-Dade Police Department, Fox Sports Radio's Jorge Sedano reported that Taylor fired shots at the home of people he believed had stolen an all-terrain vehicle of his.

Sedano also reported that Taylor will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and will turn himself in to Miami authorities Saturday morning. Sedano first reported the news on Fox Sports Radio's "Fox GameTime Live" with Craig Shemon and James Washington.

Taylor's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, declined comment Friday. Taylor and the Redskins didn't immediately return phone messages seeking comment.

Taylor, who wants a new contract, has been working out in Miami despite pleas from coach Joe Gibbs to join the team in voluntary workouts at their home base in suburban Washington. He signed a seven-year, $18 million deal as the No. 5 overall draft pick in the 2004 draft.

The former Miami Hurricanes standout has had a tempestuous start to his NFL career.

He has fired two agents, was fined for skipping one day of the NFL's mandatory rookie symposium and was accused of spitting on a player during a game at Cincinnati, although he was not punished because the league said there was no video evidence.

He was also charged with drunken driving in October, when he was pulled over at 2:45 a.m. after attending a birthday party for receiver Rod Gardner. Those charges were dismissed in January.

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor, described as a "person of interest" in an assault case, turned himself in to Miami-Dade County police on Saturday, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reported. Taylor has been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, a felony, and simple battery.

The assault happened Wednesday night and shots were fired, police spokesman Mary Walters said. No one was injured.

The Washington Post reported on its Web site the assault case involved a stolen car. Taylor and a friend were reportedly at the scene of a crime, but it was unclear who the stolen car belonged to and why Taylor was there. A public information officer for the Miami-Dade County Police Department told The Post that shots were fired into the vehicle.

"We have just been made aware of a potential situation in Miami regarding Sean Taylor," the Redskins said in a statement Saturday night. "The representatives for Taylor are keeping us informed as to the developments of the situation. There is nothing we can add to the process at this time."

Taylor's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, declined comment Friday.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

Wow, if he's involved in the actual shooting I got to think that would equal jailtime.

Time to wake up before you piss your career away Sean.

Kellen Winslow and Sean Taylor. Both not honoring their contracts, both egomaniacs and both may be out of the NFL. I wouldn't mind if all of Rosenhause's clients who continue to not honor contracts they signed JUST LAST YEAR all end up out of the NFL. Like blindseyed said, it's a privilege to play in the NFL, not a right...perhaps a year or two in rehab or prison will make these jokers appreciate that.

(Yes, I'm apparently in a foul mood today). ;)

According to PFT, the fact that the crime was commited in Florida could have serious consequences for Taylor. According to Florida law, a conviction on aggravated assault with a firearm is a mandatory 10 year sentence. If the gun is fired during the crime, the sentence is a mandatory 20 year sentence. If he in fact commited the crime, Taylor better hope he can plea guilty to a lesser offense. Otherwise, his career could be over.

"..And in this corner.."

Can I just say.....That I wanted this guy over Fitzgerald or Roy Williams, or anyone in the draft last year.. I was thinking if he could play CB, HOLY SH*T!!
As A safety teaming up with AW, We'd have better safeties than the Cowgirls.. He is the old THUG-image  of Uof M, and I hope he didn't shoot at somebody, and thus ruin his football career.. Thank The Good LORD we chose the New Uof M with Antrel Rolle!!!
