Can throw a fade worth a damn!
Just like the playoff game give Julio a chance to come down in bounds. Wtf dude

Plus, the play where he badly overthrew Jones, the obvious read was to throw it to Sanu on the slant. Warner or Palmer never wouldve missed that one.

The last play Ridley was wide open on slant & yet never looked at him

Agree, #13 & #3 would’ve pulled this game out.

The refs & playcalling helped lose the game as well. And they gave away 3 points early on which I don’t think you ever should do.

The only positive of the game: I have Julio Jones in the ASFN P&R league. ;)

Not a well played game. Not a well officiated game. But Philly D and O lines were the difference.

Ryan showed why he'll never be a championship QB. How many times was Atlanta in the red zone and they could only muster 3 points or nothing at all? Philly gave them a gift on that punt and he throws a balloon to Jones that I could have picked off from my living room. Then first and goal inside the 10 and he can't throw it close to a receiver.

That INT to Jones Was Jones fault... he went wrong direction and quit on the route. Even went up to his QB after and apologize to him on the sideline .

Devonta Freeman not picking up a block in the SB is why Ryan will never be a championship QB. ;)

Seems like Ryan has tunnel vision and generally speaking relying on just one receiver to carry the load isn't going to lead to wins consistently. That last sequence at the end of the game was a very bad look for Ryan IMO. Seemed more concerned with not throwing a pick than he was with winning the game. If he's actually as inaccurate as those passes were thrown he should walk away right now.

The Eagles were also giving him underneath. And not having Freeman didn't help matters much.

I didn't see that but I'll take your word for it. That said, the Atlanta defense while great in the first half, was terrible in the 2nd half. I swore Bettcher was the Falcon d-coordinator.

I agree, he's incredibly overrated.

Julio on the other hand is not. However if he had gotten a pass that wasn't 5-10 yards out-of-bounds in this game at the end, we might have seen that on film.

Matt is good, but not great.

These bums lucked up last night. Had no business winning that damn game. That said, the eagles secondary is very good. Darby is flat out elite.

I hope this does not portend the upcoming Cards game thread.

Strong red zone defense with very solid lines on both sides of the ball. Just shows that even with a below average QB you can win games if you have those things.

What is with Matt Ryan floating passes all night long. Missed atleast one sure touchdown where Julio was wide open in the first half.

Matt Ryan is not elite even though he got paid as if he is. He is allergic to the red zone.

I nodded off from this snoozer. Did Ridley even play?

Eagles benefited from some calls and non calls as well. Jones' catch that was ruled a non-catch, the missed pass interference on Atlanta's first possession, a phantom PI on Atlanta on a 3rd and long on the Eagles which led to their first FG, among others. And, yes, this is a catch:

He briefly has control when Davis' foot kicks the ball loose.

So how's life in Eagles country now that they've won a Superbowl? Are they unbearable lol. Was just curious about that watching the game.

You've no idea. The dumbest thing they keep harping on is Brady losing to a backup QB. Well, unless Brady plays defense he didn't lose to anyone and he basically shredded the Eagles defense. I'd say a 40 year old guy who throws for 503 yards and 3 TD's did pretty damned good. My only regret is that my dad didn't love long enough to see it.

If they’re using that logic then the Rams, Panthers, Eagles, Seahawks and Falcons lost to a backup QB in the Super Bowl as well. :doi:
