This is how bad it is, Daigle is pinch hitting.

Diamondbacks win!!! MVP goes to Bautista with props to Tracy and Oscar, Choate and Sparks. This win just might get things going.

Who pitches for the Diamondbacks on Saturday? Daigle tomorrow and Dessens on Sunday. Do they bring a guy up from Tucson?

Speaking of which, the ballpark has like 10 people in it. Its sad and pathetic!

I think they drew 34,000 for the three games....I wasn't one of the ten people left in the 15th inning, since I made my exit right after Overbay's hit in the 5th - I have to work tomorrow, so I needed to get on the road for the journey back to Indy, not to mention the fact I was pretty upset with the D'Backs at the time. I was able to listen to the Brewers radio broadcast for the rest of the game, which meant I had the opportunity to listen to Mantei blow yet another save!!  On the bright side, Shea might be on the bench a bit longer than expected (work on those throws, Chad), Choate was unexpectedly awesome in his 2 innings of work, and Danny B has been outstanding!! Oh yeah, the Dodgers lost to Colorado today, so we move up a little.

BTW, if you ever get the chance to watch a game from just behind home plate, do so - I upgraded my ticket to a seat 6 rows from the field, and it was awesome!

My guess is that Sparks could still pitch on Saturday. Since he's a knuckleballer, he doesn't need much rest

They just had a nice tribute to Pat and all the other soldiers. Moment of silence and then the National Anthem.

Let's hope Daigle can have an easy first inning.

Daigle gets out of the first without giving up a run. Giles out was a little scary.

2-0. Finley with a single and ball goes under Giles glove.

I love tonight's line-up:

1)Kata-2B
2)Cintron-SS
3)Gonzalez-LF
4)Sexson-1B
5)Finley-CF
6)Bautista-RF
7)Tracy-3B
8)Hammock-C

And of course Kata ignites a rally w/a lead-off single...Then Cintron executed a hit-and-run play perfectly... Sexson singles to drive Kata in...Finley then drives Sexson in with a 3-base error....What a daring play by Al Pedrique to allow Sexson to advance from 2nd.... This team now seems to be on a mission....

This should be the line-up for the remainder of the season, with Shea and Tracy alternating at 3B.... I guess Brenly has been reading thiss message board lately...

Daigle looks like a whole different pitcher. Easy 2nd inning for him.

Wow I can't remember the last time we had a successful sacrifice from the pitcher (it was probably the last game, but seems like forever)

Daigle looks like a million bucks!!

Walks always haunt you. Lorreta hits a 2-run home run to tie it at 2.

I just hope that Brenly doesn't tire of it after 2 games or 20 games. Good move, BB. Now let it be.

Alex Cintron was hitting .281 after his 2-for-6 in the extra inning game. Don't blink your eyes or you'll miss seeing him get to .340.

As much as I liked the potential of Shea Hillenbrand ('still do), if Tracy is the real thing at 3B . . .

I'm sure there will be some teams who would like a 20HR-90RBI First or Third Baseman.

Why not package him for a solid #3 starting pitcher -- our greatest need.

Hillenbrand, Mantei, Alomar. Hmmm.

One statistic that has gotten better for Daigle...

5 ground outs - 6 Flyouts so far into the 4th inning (1 strike out)

He was getting all flyball outs before so this means he is hitting his marks.....

Daigle getting the job done. D-Backs need to score some runs.

2-2 after 6. How long can Daigle last? Does Brenly give the ball to Valverde before Mantei?

Koplove comes in and gets out of the jam. 2-2 bottom of the 7th.
