do you have a choice to turn down the upgrade?!

No. You fill out a form with instruction and you get what you get. I understand the upgrades are processed after the renewals come in and before new season tickets holders get to choose seats. Makes sense.

Define upgrade.
Does it strictly mean an increase in seat category? I wish to improve/change my seat location within the same price category. Is that considered an upgrade? Will current STH's get an opportunity to move into "better" seats which are not renewed or will they be sold to new ticket buyers?

Upgrade, move, whatever. I supposed you can also downgrade. I'm basing this on past history, but the form used to have a section to fill out how many seats you want and WHERE you want them in free form text. You can say, "behind the end zone at least 5 rows up" or whatever you want to say. I'm sure you can move also.

This year it will be different because you can't add seats while upgrading or moving. I suppose you can move, but then get at the end of the line for more seats.

This upgrading begs the question...If there are so many brokers that have really good seats why wouldn't I as a season ticketholder just by the better seats each game from them and give up my season tickets. I want to upgrade if a certain section is available this season but not just to upgrade and "get what I get".

A rich guy like you should just lease a loft for next season and invite all your buds to watch the games with you. No opposing fans up there.

As I recall, you were the guy flying in for every game and sitting in the club. I am just a humble Hummer driver:D

I agree that wins would make the games sweeter, but on the expectation that winning would weed these people out, you're exactly wrong. The people who own these seats don't really care about the games so much as their potential to be money making propositions. As such, success on the Cardinals part would only enhance the value of those seats to visitors who would then care more about the game.

Think about it. Next year the Cards will have road games against Washington and Baltimore. It's the same flight but two differI haveent teams. Which game would you rather have tickets to?

I already have my seats locked up for both the Balt & Wash games. Being so close to Wash. & Phila., it pissed me off when we were moved out of the NFC East. I went from seeing the Cardinals play twice a year to having to wait 5-6 years to see them play once. Thank God for Hi Def DirectTV & 60" screens. It's almost like you're actually there. Nevertheless, I am so psyched to see then twice next year. I was planning a trip to AZ, but I think I'll wait till 2008. If anyone is planning to fly in & they have to choose between the 2 games, Baltimore's Stadium is more accessible & nicer than Washington's. Going to a Skins game is a logistical nightmare.

If it's a whole row, it's a broker.
Those sharks, er... brokers have been buying and renewing season tickets for 18 years - finally they are getting a good payoff.
It's the same in my section - I'm row 2 - row 1 is different people every week.
It's fun asking them how much they paid for those $14.25 tickets and watching one drunk KC fratboy vomit on his buddy.
It's fun making fun of the cities they come from.
It's fun letting them know that when their team goes through a dry spell we won't be seeing them because they're a bunch of frontrunning banwagon jumpers.
Bring 'em on...

I suspect the guy is a broker as he has to have 10 or more contiguous seats and he's not local.

I think I'll make a great big hat that shaped similar to that of a hammer head shark (that way it only interferes with those right behind me) and write something on the back of the hat that says something like:

I was thinking that there would be more demand for tickets from Cardinal fans and that they would step up and buy more scalper tickets.

He's right. That's what most of us are thinking about winning.

Winning creates more fans who are willing to spend money.
