The weather will be bad but not as bad as we once thought. I can't figure this game so I settled on this:

This is the game where Seattle players tell management if they want Holmgren back. This will not be a nail biter. Either we win handily or they blow us out.

My heart says we win but my gut tells me we will lose big.

I can't make the call.

First quarter will set the tone, if they come out and move the ball and the defense can make some stops they will win. If not, I'm not posting here on Monday because this place will be on suicide watch

skkorp,

We may very well lose.......but it will not be a blow out.

We haven't been blown out by another team this year.

Personally, I truly believe we win out, but still miss the second season......actually this is what I hope for.......we need another year of good draft positioning.....if we make the playoffs, we'll end up with a #20 or above, and that's too high given the needs of this team overall!

I guess this will seem sacreligious to some....but I'm into medium-long range planning......short term doesn't do anything for me!

I believe the Cards will play well. They won't get blown out. It will either be a close win, a close loss or Seattle gets blown out.

35-10 at Carolina

38-14 at Buffalo

I think you could consider both of those games ugly blow-outs. We had our azzes handed to us.

Will be there and cheering loud...section 334...convinced my wife to join me. Leaving our two kids (age 3 and 1) on Xmas afternoon to travel from Central Oregon to Seattle. Kids in good hands with grandparents.

Hope for the Cardinals to dip deep and win...there last year...heckled...but cheered the whole game. GO CARDINALS!!!

I'm a believer!

Cards 23 Seahawks 21

Go Cards!

No No No

Alexander barely gets fifty, they have to rely on Hasselbeck. He gets sacked and re injures his arm and can't go the distance. Cardinal offense opens it up like a winter rain storn in Washington. The hags are "THUNDERSTRUCK"!!
Cardinlas Win! Cardinals Win!
31-10 and their fans dreams of the playoffs are kept alive!!!!

The momentum of the Wilson resigning pumps the defense up, we limit our mistakes, we win the game. Time to show the geniuses how Green has "lost the team".

Cards 27
Hags 14

If you don't have them, get your tickets to the Bucs game.

Have you mistaken the Cardinals for the Steelers? We haven't had the same amount of blowouts as last year, but we are certainly capable of losing big. See Carolina. See Buffalo. See atrocious halves of football against teams like SF.

That said,
Hawks: 20
Cards: 17

Good grief!!! All these Cardinal fans prediciting a loss. Oh ye of little faith. Bad vibes from negative thinkers can scuttle a team. Be positive. Will them to win.

Josh had his coming out game against the Rams. He will be even better the last two weeks of this year. Look for the Cards to win handily.

Shaun Alexander goes off and they clinch the division.

Yeah, just like faulk did.

Alexander isn't going off on anything except maybe a stretcher.

Cards defense will step up and keep it close early, and then we'll pull away as the injury-depleted squawks get out coached by Denny and Co.

One pick for Starks who, thankfully, is back in the starting lineup.

Cards 27 squawks 10.

27 - 17 Cards

I expect us to come out showing more emotion as we did against the Rams. The trick will be to keep up the intensity. I think that the big thing is to jump out to a lead as quick as possible and keep the hawks heads down.

The big thing also is a lead helps us to make Seattle throw, and keep the ball out of the hands of Alexander. The Rams never really even tried to run the ball last week. That was a bad move by Martz.

watching this seahawks team all year it is impossible to predict

one trend i've seen in games that they lose ugly is that they come out sluggish and give up an early score

if the cards score on their first possession they will compete or first two possessions they win the game

also if seattle gets up big there will be a point in the 4th that the cards can make a comeback ... either seattle will make the play and stop momentum, or lose

I'm hoping seattle, but it's hard to call

Prediction

I see KAZ has been to my website. . . I also picked the Cards to win 23-21, and last week's prediction of 38-10 over St. Louis was pretty close. Still, I have a bad feeling about this one, on the road, and the Cards now having something real to play for. Usually a bad mix for us. We need a fast start to get their fans to turn on the Seahawks and the players to start to think, "oh, here we go again." Maybe a flea-flicker on our first offensive possession to get things going.

When an organization makes the turn & heads towards stardom, they usually start with a close road win (Miami) & a couple of home blowouts (St. L, NO). It is now time for a convincing road win to truly put us on the path to routine trips to the playoffs. Yes, we were blown out by 2 teams, Buf & Carolina that were beginning a winning streak of their own. Seattle does not have the intestinal fortitude to blow anyone away. We will win big or lose small, but we will NOT get blown out!!!!!

Cards 34
Seahawks 20 (They score late to give it the appearance of a closer game)

Sadly, I think the dream comes to an end this week. I think Holmgren is far smarter than Martz and, especially considering Hasselbeck's arm, will pound Alexander for like 40 carries. And we won't be able to stop it, because they're good at doing it and we're bad at stopping it.

Seahawks 27
Cards 17

Cards D fights tooth and nail, and gets some stops, but Alexander is not to be denied. The offense regresses, whether a lot or a little, I'm not sure.

So, dream over. But, the season will still be a success, IMO.

I say we shock them. The young kids on the team NOW SEE what it takes to be a Pro-Bowl player because of Berry, and we get some great performances out of Dockett, Berry, Josh, and Dansby. Anquan will be ready to shine, and Josh will take advantage of it. After the game Jerry Rice will say something stupid and arrogant. I want to see Wendell. Give the guy at least a play or two!!!

Cards- 28
Seattle-14

I think Holgrems scared.

He will play it much closer to he vest this time. The first few possessions have to be immaterial. The brain wiring for us has to be the our players KNOW, no matter what happens at first, that they are supposed to dominate.
It is what this whole season has been coming to, a team of domination.
They have to know it, think it, feel it, and believe it now. They know the SF games were flukes. they know some games they were not mentally prepared, now they no their thunder and how to start it up anf finish it off.
Seattle knows we have already beaten the best in our division. They know we shut down the falcons. They know if all cylinders click and we,for once, limit our penalties ( make them good ones, I'll explain if necessary) they don't stand a chance.

I'm with Skkorp on this one - either we blow them out or we get our doors blown in. Since I'm still a little on the skeptical side of Josh and sicne Shaun Alexander is about 5000 times as good as Marshall Faulk right now, my gut tells me blowout but my heart tels me we keep deluding ourselves heading into week 17.

The D and Josh will have tomake big plays early. If we knock Hasselcrap out of the game early - we can take this, otherwise, I'll remain in the walk before you can run department and last week it seemed like we just started to learn how to crawl.

That being said - I can't wait for Sunday and I am VERY thankful there is a TON of really good sports (Pack/Vikes tomorrow, Shaq/Kobe and NFL on X-mas) in between now and then to tide me over.

Merry Christmas all - hopefully DG can substitute for Santa and bring us a win - afterall - he's already got the budda belly and the red suit - and maybe Santa's just been down in the carribean for a while to explain the rather dark tan he has out there! Denny Clause to the rescue!
