The Seattle Seahawks have parted ways with WRs Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. On Friday, the NFC West team added a receiver to their corps for new quarterback Sam Darnold. And he is a good one: Cooper Kupp.
For Kupp, this is a homecoming as the former Los Angeles Ram played his college ball at Eastern Washington and is from Yakima, WA.
Kupp starred as a Ram. In eight years, he caught 634 passes for 7,776 yards and 57 touchdowns.
He became expendable, if you want to say that, when Los Angeles recently signed Davante Adams.
Kupp was the MVP in Super Bowl when the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of the 2021 season.
Kupp led the NFL in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947) and receiving touchdowns (16) that season. He was named the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year. Kupp made eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' Super Bowl win, which earned him the game's MVP award.
