Five weeks of SEC baseball are in the books. Georgia's meeting with Arkansas was the story of week five.
Arkansas won 13-3 on Friday night, but Georgia responded with back-to-back wins, including Sunday's 12-inning walk-off victory.
Another highlight of the weekend was Kentucky's 15-inning battle with Texas on Saturday. The Wildcats tied it at four in the ninth inning. It remained tied at four until UK's Devin Burks scored the game-winning run to walk it off. However, Texas won the series with wins on Friday and Sunday.
To the dismay of LSU fans, Auburn is riding high after sweeping the Tigers. LSU was looking to stay hot after sweeping Oklahoma last week, but Auburn cooled that momentum.
Here's a look at your SEC baseball standings after five weeks of SEC play.
LSU was one game back of the No. 1 spot entering the weekend, but the Tigers are falling after getting swept. LSU is still within striking distance of Texas at the top. But the Longhorns and Tigers already played, so catching Texas might be a tall task for LSU.
LSU's 4-5 record vs. top-10 teams is enough to raise some questions about LSU's potential right now. The Tigers will look to get back on track against a cold Alabama team this weekend.
