Time to drag out your second favorite team. It's a buzz killer to get up on monday and do an autopsy on the Cards. Cards will always be #1 in my heart and I'll watch every sunday but might as well start rooting for my other team. Go Browns! By the way, if they ever decide to rename the Cardinals and have a contest I think the Arizona Buzz Killers is a great name. Also, I root for anyone that puts a good hit on Plummer.

I do not have a second favorite team.

I watch the Texans with my girlfriend, when the Cardinals are not playing at the same time of course. They are fun to watch.

But I DO pick a team to root for in the playoffs, since the Cards ain't gonna be in it this year. But that doesn't happen till week eight.

Peace

For most of my life I've been a Bears fan (born in Chicago). I still root for them and flip to the Bears' games during commercials and long breaks in Cardinal action.

I started rooting for the cards back in 1990 when I came to school at ASU. I'm not certain why I fell under the Cardinal's spell--maybe it's a lost puppy syndrome.

Disagree completely. Lets not argue the yea's and nea's of both, however.

My AZ teams will ALWAYS be number one for me, and even though IM in NYC, I canot find anything to root for in ANY of the local teams here, regardless of the sport, but when I lived in Denver, and once John Elway retired, I became a big Broncos fan.

So, its Suns, Cards, Coyotes, DBacks
then Broncos Avalanche, Nuggets, Rockies.

In that order.

GO Bills!

Except they lost to the Jets 30-3. I'd rather do an autopsy on the Cards loss.

My second team is the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS since they are in Missouri. They used to be my favorite a long time ago during the Len Dawson, Ed Podalak, Jan Stenerud, Bobby Bell, Buck Buchanan, Willie Lanier, Otis Taylor days, but my Dad got me hooked under the CARDS during the Coryell years.

I can't stand the RAMS. They will always be the LA RAMS to me, much like the CARDS are still like the ST LOUIS CARDS playing their homegames in Arizona.

I can't recall a season in which I have become so indifferent to the losing ways of the CARDS so early in the season. I used to get pissed off and have temper tantrums, but I guess I have now become conditioned to the same old mistakes that lose games for the CARDINALS.

I need a coaching change to restore my energy I guess. This Vince Tobin/Dave McGinnis era has worn out its welcome with me.

I grew up a Chiefs fan until the Cards moved to Arizona and, for the first time in my life, I started going to NFL games. So, if any other team has to be 6-0, I'm glad it's the Chiefs.

I'm also rooting for the Panthers to keep doing well. They were as bad as we are two years ago. Now, they are winning. And, they built the team in a way that we could emulate.

Perhaps it's time that I only pay attention to the WSU Cougars...I'm bringing a crossword puzzle to the Niners game.

Come on. That's like saying "vanilla is my favorite flavor of ice cream. I won't like any other flavor. It's vanilla or nothing!"

AFTER the regular season...

...I may pick a team to pull for in the playoffs.

This is never a problem with my loyalty to the Cardinals because...well that is obvious.

I find a couple of things about "pulling" for that other team.

1. I really don't care.

2. I am usually the kiss-of-death for the team I pick.

OMG! I just realized... I AM THE REASON THE CARDINAL SUCK EVERY YEAR!!

Somebody shoot me...head shot with a trout will do.

You can't compare ice cream to football teams. There's no loyalty in ice cream selection. One time it's vanilla, the next it's rocky road or mint chocolate chip or cookie dough. Heck, you can get two or three flavors on one cone!

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets. Almost as big of a heartbreaker as the Cardinals, but planted in E.R. New Jersey, and enough history to keep the stadium full.

Jim, I am liking you more and more. I couldn't agree more! Is there any other team that is more fun to hate than the Cowgirls. I don't know of one.

I've been a Vikings fan

since a kid. I think the 1998 team (who beat the Cards, but lost to the Falcons) was the best offensive team I have ever seen.

Lived in MN as a kid, and thats who I grew up with before Phoenix got a team.

They are 5-0 this year, and I will still root for the Cards when they come to town in December - but look at this 1998 record. It would be so fun to root for a team that can light it up like that one!
