I will let the fans of our first round pick, talk about the first round pick.

We have the second and third round tonight.

Will Kizer be there ? I think it is a no brainer that the Cardinals pick him, if he is there.

Then I would suspect a cornerback ? A lot of corners fell, and there is a still a stock pile of them waiting in the second round, more than I would have thought.

Cannot wait. Hopefully Keim will actually pick a player that is not some "hidden secret" because I am getting tired of the "I am smarter than everyone" act.

We do not need Brandon Williams this year, we need an actual proven against top competition cornerback.

Cool thing, is after years of watching this drafting phenomenon, you just gotta roll with it and see how it all plays out.

I would be okay with Kizer if the staff likes him... would also be happy with Kevin King at this point...still think 45 is a little high for him but 6'3" CB's with decent speed don't grow on trees...
would maybe like to see elflein tonight too, or another TE

I'm torn here. My gut says sacrifice a combo of picks to move up a few slots and secure Kizer. The Vegas born gambler in me says wait until #45 and pick him.

My brain says that if we pick Kizer we won't make a move for a QB next year even if someone great falls to us, and if I didn't trust Kizer enough to be picked at #13 why would I accept it now, so just say "eff it" and admit that anything post 2018 is going to be complete rebuilding mode and draft Budda Baker or a CB to desperately take one last stab at it this year.

Blah. Maybe I should just sleep through this whole thing, haha.

It will probably not happen, but it would be great to see Quincy Wilson's name pop up with the second pick.

I just want a fast FS that plays the ball well and likes to tackle today, I get why they took Reddick over Hooker, fortunately, there are a lot of safeties this year and not a lot of linebackers.

I'd call the second round a success if we specifically came away with one of the following guys:

Marcus Maye, Deshone Kizer, Kevin King, Obi Melifonwu, Marcus Williams, Quincy Jones, or Forrest Lamp.

Per Gambo (who btw, had been talking Reddick for a month)

Cards love Kevin King, CB Washington

I like Quincy Wilson more, but I would not be upset in the least with Kevin King. Must have drafted the guy 20 times or more in the draft simulations.

I don't think it's all the sudden. He isnt accurate enough to be successful at the NFL level IMO.
On this board, it is all of sudden from what I recognized.

A lot of his offensive talent left in the 2016 draft & not to mention, he played under a pathetic personality of a coach in Brian Kelly.

He has showed plenty of NFL throws, & I know that hellhole weather of a game vs NCState completely messed up his percentage.

I would much rather get Kizer today then trade up a lot like Houston & KC did next year(& no, no one does not know if next year's class will be better. Scouts got time to pick them apart like they do every year).

I like Kevin King. I like Quincy Wilson. IMO, King is a more polished CB while Wilson is more physical.

Marcus Williams would fill the hole in our single high, man defense very well. Marcus Maye is very similar to Keanu Neal who the Cards liked a ton last year. Josh Jones is the balance between the two.

Offensively, Alvin Kamara, Carlos Henderson, and Adam Shaheen have to be in play because of how they fit on our roster. I would add Lamp into the mix, but I don't think he gets there.

Lots of good possibilities you mention.

I want a receiver or QB, but my gut tells me that the Cardinals drop little hints during the process every year and Arians specifically said they think they are good at WR.

I think if Webb is there the Cardinals will consider him. Big body QBs are what Arians likes, he has said so on numerous occasions. I don't think Kizer has the personality nor accuracy that Arians will favor.

I want a FS, CB, WR, QB, or another combo TE in no particular order.

As a Cardinal fan, I think Day 2 is a lot more exciting than round one - more going on, more risks taken, less certainty about players etc.

Was the feeding frenzy on Offensive skill positions early in rd 1 planned or reactive? My guess would be it was planned because the talk about the depth on defense meant if teams wanted a gifted WR they better grab one early. Not saying that aren't some good WR's available still but there are far more quality DB's then WR's. QB's always get over drafted and we saw that again.

TE's slid but that was probably a product of just how deep the TE crop is this year.

IIRC there were 19 D players taken in rd 1 so after the initial early rush on Offensive skill players that left the cupboards bare then GM's had to start taking D players and of course that is where most of the talent was.

I want a CB and FS tonight. Will be okay with a WR or TE but we need at least one DB tonight.

If you think we are a playoff team this year, you cant pick Kizer with our pick in round 2. It just doesnt compute. We have holes that need to be filled, and theoretically there will be guys on the board capable of plugging them.
