I couldn't agree more, Rivers has bust written all over him imo.

Mike Mayock seems to disagree, and apparently his word is gold on this board.

42" high jump. 4.58 40. According to Mayock, "Solidified a Top 15 spot."

Hehe i think his word is squat :) JMO.

Thanks for the numbers btw.

I think Rivers is a cover 2 OLB, that's his limitation, he will struggle at ILB in a 3-4 and I mean what would be the point of having him at OLB in a 3-4 really? I'd love for someone to send an email into Mayock and ask him that? I hope he goes top 15 :) I REALLY hope he doesn't go at #16. He has a very limited upside imo.

I don't want him for our team, either. I think he's a profoundly bad fit. And I agree that he's not much of a pass rusher. But I think that there are teams that will like him, and that he'll get taken before #16 overall.

Ya I agree Dorsey is the #1 DL in this draft, I think Dorsey is the #1 talent in the draft period. Ellis is a nice consollation prize though for teams looking for an up tempo DL early this year.

I never said he'd go at #4 btw, the raiders would prefer a DE to a DT imo, with Sands and Kelly at DT they're solid there IMHO, Goulston or C. Long would fit in great on their DL, i think the Raiders will pick a DE at #4.

At #5 the Chiefs need an OL probably worse than we did last year, they have to take an OL imo, they need to trade down the most out of any team in the draft, and I think New Orleans is the team that needs a DT the most(Ellis) That trade makes a ton of sense, but I'm not a GM , if I was NO GM I'd be on the phone to KC if Ellis is still available, he might not be, with Dorsey and Ellis going in the top 3 possibly.

I wasn't sure what you were saying. I'm starting to see more and more mocks that have Ellis off the board before Dorsey.

Sorry :) IMO the talent level will outweigh needs in the draft. When it comes down to it Miami will probe Dorsey for their injury concerns and when he answers them all he's the obvious choice at #1. The only others I can see being picked over him are.... Matt Ryan, but imo he's not a top 10 player, he's an average QB, but you never know what the other teams are thinking.

1. Miami - G. Dorsey
2. Rams - J. Long or S. Ellis
3. Falcons - S. Ellis or J. Long
4. Raiders - V. Goulston or C. Long
5. Chiefs - wanting to trade down badly.

I think the 3 lineman are the best players in the draft and worthy of the HUGE $$$$ that is going to be guaranteed to those top 3 picks.

Chris Long to the Dolphins is a smokescreen IMO. Why would Parcells pick C. Long to play DE or OLB when he can put Dorsey at NT or DE ? That's a huge drop off in this mans opinion. I watched Dorsey play for the past 2 years almost every game. I'm a Big Tiger fan :) He is disruptive and unblockable when he's on his game, he can bulk up another 15 pounds if necessary. His pass rush is dominant, his run stuffing is dominant he's an All-Pro and the obvious choice.

Branden Albert doesn't fit into that equation unless the Cards swing a deal where they drop to the early 20s and pick up a 2nd round pick in the process. IMO.

I can see that now. Not in the picture for us. I do think that Grimm also needs to upgrade what he has now at present.

I think probobly they will draft a CB first and take a flyer on a RB second, but I'd rather have it the other way around. Personal preference.

But yeah Albert is out of the picture for me. Thanks for the rundown. I didn't read nearly that many negatives on him.

That is good stuff. Where did you get that info? I hope we can get him.

That's from TheHuddleReport.com. Joeshmo and Mitch really like that site. It's super-duper cheap ($9.95 for 12 month subscription). Drew Boylhart is their profile writer, and he gets all his reports not from reading Kiper and McShay and The War Room and everyone else. He watches game tape (from TV) for pretty much every prospect he rates.

They also do at least 1 mock draft per week from a handful of different writers. I'm really glad I found that site, and I highly recommend it to any football draft junkie. Their Top 225 list is a required referent.

I would like to add to the OL. I'm nervous about depth (posters here seem to be higher on Elton Brown than even the coaches for the team are), and I would prefer not to have to draft a new OT immediately after Gandy becomes a free agent. I don't think that Reggie Wells is going to go to the bench (though I personally believe that is where he'd be the most useful). I just don't think the Cards have the luxury of using one of their top 3 picks at the position unless someone impossible falls to them.

The defense just needs help too badly.
