Utah gets 4th by winning their crappy division.
Say the Suns are 5th with a BETTER record than Utah.
Who gets home court?

The Suns would get homecourt. The Jazz have the tie-breaker though so if we had the same record then they would have homecourt. Hopefully we end up with the #3 or #2 seed though.

it's ok if we play utah w/ homecourt - they're mediocre on the road, we have Shaq now, Amare's playing better, Suns as a team - despite teh meltdown against Dallas - playing better team D.

Division winners are guaranteed a top-4 spot and that is used for match-ups. However the better record determines home court. This was changed just recently.

Thank GAWD!
Getting to be a 4 seed - instead of a 5-8 - and having to play a top seed - is reward enough for winning a crappy division. Getting homecourt over ateam with a better record was unjust and never made sense to me.
