Seems PP took some offense to Sherman's outburst as well….

Good. No reason that a CB who was drafted in the fifth round of the draft should even be close to outperforming PP21; even by the slimmest of margins.

PP21 needs to work on his mental game more so than anything. He's no question a top 3 CB in the league. he just needs to Stay focused (without Adderall) and humble and the results will come.

Apparently grammar is not stressed at STANFORD or LSU anymore lol.

Im guessing the somethings remark was likely a auto correct that he didn't catch but I could be wrong. :D

I was thinking about it at work today, Craptree didn't want to shake hands with Dick at Larry's charity thing, Craptree wanted to scrap. So when I look at the highlites, the first thing you see is Dick extending his hand out while he taunts Craptree. Had to be something like "You going to shake my hand now?" Maybe with some foul language mixed in there. But who cares, it's a whiner and a chicken.

sherman plays a side of the field, he doesnt line up one on one and man to man on the top WR of the other team.

Sherman also has a very good DB core with a top flight safety. Patrick has yeremiah Bell.

You can't really compare PP to Sherman because they play different schemes. Sherman plays behind likely the best front 7 in the NFL, even Harbaugh who has a great front 7 said Seattle has the best front 7 he's seen in years.

So Seattle doesn't have to blitz that much to get pressure.

PP plays 1 on 1 on an island with the best WR, in a system that blitzes as much as anybody in the NFL to get pressure.

Do I think Sherman is better, yes, but trade the 2 and I think PP looks better and Sherman looks worse.

It is possible that Sherman's on the field mouth and antics really gets the recipients pissed. Now if they pop him they get 15 yds and ejection and a huge fine. So Sherman is the chicken manure guy in this scenario. Now Crabtree is in the same room with him, off the field, and now gets his chance to pop him without NFL ramifications. Sherman whines like a Nancy boy that mean old Crabtree is somehow wrong. waits until they're back on the field, with his bubble of protection and starts the same old act. That makes him the coward.

Saw that article in the Merc...Sherman says he'll "do him in the media." Wow. Tough guy.

You are probably quite spot on with that take, Southpaw.

I don't get why people are exonerating Crabtree? Do people not remember Crabtree getting in PP's face and taunting him after burning him last year? Have people not seen Crabtree play and forgot he probably talks as much trash as any WR in the NFL?

Apparently Sherman tried to shake his hand at the Fitz event, Crabtree refused, so Sherman got mad. That's why he put his hand out Sunday, the will you shake my hand now. Juvenile yes but at that level they're competitive as hell, I guarantee if Crabtree makes that catch for the gamewiner he would have taunted Sherman too.

Nothing Sherman said was incorrect. It was just that he picked a pretty classless way of delivering the truth.

This is my feeling as well. Crab isn't as good a WR as Sherman is a CB, not close (at least not yet). And Sherman is right, if you take a shot with an average receiver against the best or second best corner that's the result you're gonna get.

Another thought: what do they expect when they interview him literally 10 seconds after making a game saving play? They know who he is and how he is and were thrilled with the interview they got.

Last thought: there's also a lot more to the story. Sherman repeatedly mentioned how they didn't take a shot at him until the end of the game and it obviously pissed him off. Their issues go back a ways and I totally believe that last game-winning attempt was an attempt to "get" at Sherman. They wanted to score the winning TD on Sherman--they didn't want to just win, they wanted it to be specifically against him. For that to happen it requires Kaep as well as Crab. I think they wanted to put Sherman in his place, to ruin him so to speak. It backfired.

I don't defend Sherman, it was classless, but what's more classless is what he said in the post game interviews. I prefer his honesty, ugly as it may be, to someone like Ray Lewis who was just as talkative and selfish and loud. And totally fake in my opinion.

I hate both dudes. Crabtree tried to fight him and Sherman didn't want to fight..and instead Sherman douched out in public. Kind of weak response. I prefer classless ass hats to keep their idiocy off the screen and wish they would have beaten each other into mush. If Crabtree had scored and lost his mind it would be the same.

I thought it was freaking awesome. I don't like Sherman but I dislike Crabtree even more. Players showing emotion. Who'd a thunk. :D

Not to go too far off topic... and i'm not a big fan of Ray Lewis' "schtick"... but i found this an interesting read recently. Starts out expressing similar sentiments to yours....

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10154437/rick-reilly-misunderstanding-ray-lewis

The times I loathe myself the most are when I'm so cocksure of something, so bulletproof screwed-down certain, that I don't make room for the possibility that I might not be just wrong, I might be loud wrong.

Take, for instance, Ray Lewis.

Despised him. Didn't trust him. Didn't matter that I didn't know him.

Didn't care that he was a 13-time Pro Bowl linebacker. Never liked the dance. Never liked all of the God speeches. Remember what he said after last season's Super Bowl win? "When God is for you, who can be against you?" What did the 49ers do to piss off God? Never saw any reason a man needed black paint all over his face to play football. It's not faceblack. It's eyeblack.
