I liked the movie OK. It was like 5 eps smashed together. Pretty boring at times though and pretty much one giant name-dropping fashion ad.

I haven't been "anti" the show...I just never had cable (don't even know what channel it was on). I'd watch it if someone wanted to, I guess, I just don't really care if I don't since I don't really know much about it.

Kinda like Desperate Housewives (minus the cable part).

Throw in the occasional sex, and yeah, pretty much.

My wife liked the show, but she was not a huge fan. And I admit that I liked the first couple of seasons. This weekend, about 13 hours of her time and $150 went to that movie and the corresponding hoopla. One group of friends wanted to see it on Friday night and have dinner before and cocktails after. On Sunday, another group wanted to have brunch and see a matinee.

Had a great weekend with the kids and I guess I have banked some domestic capital for golf.

Where did you get that I was gung ho about it?

It was a very good show, but not in my upper echelon.

That's the impression that I got from you.

We are talking about Sex in the City. How much more could he write about it? Even if he really liked it.

P.S.:

Sarah Jessica Parker needs to go away.

I saw it over the weekend. I have never been in a movie theater with that many women and so few men in my lifetime. It was weird. I felt sorry for the few guys, except my gay friend sitting next to me, who were in attendance.

In any case, I liked the movie. Yes, it was like five additional episodes later down the road, but I was okay with that. I appreciated the fact that the writers didn't just act like the chicks didn't get older or anything. There were lots of comments about them getting older and, during many scenes, there were groups of 20-somethings in the background, which kinda sent the "we're getting older" message home.

Definitely not a movie for everyone, though that's the way most movies are anyway. ;)

I went to theater last night with my wife to watch Narnia and the theater right next to us was playing SITC. There were around 20 people standing outside of it waiting for the employees to finish cleaning up after the previous screening and I caught the glimpes of two poor suckers that were waiting with their girlfriends.

The looks I received from each of them was classic anguish to which I shrugged my shoulders and laughed while they gazed upon me with the "Mr, Mr...get me out of here!" look.

I always loved the show and use to watch it religiously. The movie? blah... I read some scathing reviews on it, so I'll wait for my bootlegger to get it to me on DVD.
