Just being realistic.

We weren't that great a team with our two starting OLBers playing. Now that we lost both and the next in line to start Okafor is gone now too.

We will be starting our newest version of Joey Porter and two practice squad players from this point on. Does anyone think other injuries in the D along the way aren't likely to occur?? I get that injuries happen. But in this case we have been decimated at the most important position on the defense.

Our offense blows and cant keep sustained drives to keep the D off the field as it is. The team as a whole is completely undisciplined. Too many penalties.

We are going to get our doors blown off in Tampa this weekend just watch. With a rookie at QB and against a team with internal issues.

I dont normally advocate this but its time to suck for Bridgwater! :D

It is what it is!

So...do we continue to follow the Cards for the rest of the season? Or, should I use Sunday afternoons for yard-work till next year?

I'll certainly follow and root. but there really is no reason for optimism.

Irrelevant (unless we insist on being in the prediction business).

We have a game Sunday. Whatever happens will happen. (Let's not forget that TB comes in 0 & 3 with Coach Schiano's job said to be on the line). That can play either in our favor (should they remain in their funk) or against us (if they come out like caged rats and we curl up into a fetal ball).

Best we rein in any expectations, take a Zen approach toward following and rooting for the team and enjoy the roller coaster ride. (It has been noted that, each year, 30 NFL teams fail to make it to the Super Bowl).

I watch football (& not basketball) not because the Cardinals are better than the Knicks or Bulls but because football's more fun to watch - regardless of who the teams are.

So enjoy.

If I could I would. Im already out the cost for worthless season tickets. Not even going to bother to make the trip this year I'm guessing.

Season is far from over, cant wait for sundays game!

Being that we have 13 games left you are certainly correct. Being that anyone thinking we have a chance to make anything out of this season?? Almost certainly incorrect.

so we are going to lose the next 13?

Not sure why if this your perogative, you even root for this team? If I had this mindset I would migrate to a franchise who hasnt been in the cellar 99% of its existance. Then at least you could enjoy watching football.

Did you watch the last 3 years? We have a better chance this year than any of those three.

I for one am not ready to throw in the towel yet. Of course I am too stubborn to give it up so quickly. I take into consideration that both the offense and defense changed from last year as well as 1/2 the team and when you include a new coaching staff this will take time. I am willing to give it another 4 games before I submit to failure.

What I do want to know is why we sign a guy like Abraham and so far he has produced little yet a team like Cincinnati can sign Harrison and he is delivering and producing. I believe they are the same age too. Some teams can sign grizzled vets and get a year or two out of them. When the Cardinals sign them they are busy picking out their retirement home.

Oh Jeez here we go with the fandom call outs.

It is my prerogative to believe this season is tanked. This team wasn't deep or productive at that position to begin with. Now its just downright atrosious. Doesn't mean I wont watch. Wont root wont still buy season tickets. Im just a realist. Now with this mind set when we are getting blown out on most Sundays. Instead of being pissed I'll just laugh it off and say "it's not like this was not unexpected"

;)

I am usually the type of person to hold out hope and avoid this kind of talk, but the fact is that this team has won 2 games in the last year. Both against Detroit. We are not only a bad team.. we are an OLD, SLOW, and injured bad team.

This season is over and we have a ways to go.

I expected no more than 6 wins anyway with the possibility of 4-12, so I'm not upset.

1) The problems with the Oline were still there...LT cough cough

2) the problems without Avery good edge rusher were still there & IMO not much differant now than last week. IMO Moch still has what the others doesn't & that's an explosive burst, so lets see how he does.

3) Palmer was an average QB & has played like one so far.

4) doubts existed about how well Bowels could run a defense & IMO haven't changed.

5) changing over half the roster. This usually doesn't improve a poor team in 1 season.

Come one Shane, you really expected something differant? Not me brotha

not questioning your fandom at all.

Laughing off losses is how I handle everything anyway, its just a game. Hoping and wanting us to win doesnt change that for me. I dont expect us to win anything so its all flush.

But, we still have a chance!

Harrison has played 57 snaps so far this season and has 1 tackle.

Chicken little the sky is falling!!! Help! Our offense has shown signs save last week as being able to move the ball and it's a new guy making the calls. This will improve I'd bet on it! Defense yes we are hurt and linebacker is not a happy spot. But with D Wash back next week and DD and Dansby playing at a high level I'm not ready to throws in the towel. Call me unwise or drinking cool aid but there it is!
