Shaq Trade Official - NBA Has Approved

All 3 players still have to pass physicals. Physicals must be completed within 48 hours (upon league approval) then players are free to join the teams to practice and play in games. However as of 15 minutes ago, the league office has approved the trade which means that clock is ticking. Shaq is here and Marion and Banks are on their way to complete theirs.

Update: Shaq did pass per AZ Republic but other reports are saying it will be tomorrow.

Suns Press Conference 5:30PM.

Shawn Marion and Banks have not passed theirs yet. All 3 players must complete their physicals within the next 48 hours. But it will happen. Shaq has passed his and neither Marion or Banks have any issues.

Gambo and Ash just reported that there is a 48 hour window for all 3 players to pass physicals.

this is either a disaster of biblical proportions or the single boldest move in NBA history. I'm think it's 85% the former, but I'm stoked anyway. At least I'll have SOME kind of interest in this team again. I seriously can't wait to see how this shakes out, one way or another. The 07-08 team put me to sleep for the season anyway. Might as well do something completely and utterly ridiculous IMO.

At the very least, I think the majority of fans will feel like you and there will be a lot more excitement at the arena.

I think that exactly expresses how I feel.

Here's some interesting info just reported on ESPNews by Bucher, D'Antoni was the driving force in making the trade not Kerr. Thats a bit of a twist as to what was reported earlier.

May and June can't get here soon enough. We have two shots ('08 and '09) at the Larry O'Brien and our window is officially shut. Go Deisel powered Suns.

I've watched the Heat games lately, I guess I'm a masochist, and I think this hip thing is just a smoke screen for the Heat not wanting to play Shaq. Kind of like how all our guys had "back spasms" 5 or 6 seasons ago. ;)

Not that I doubt, but where did you see this?

That's pretty much my feeling as well. It's like some weird science experiment or something, or like putting the team on ice skates to see if they can still run-and-gun. I think it will probably fail, but it's just plausible enough to make me want to watch to see what happens.
