Is Green the weakest hitting right fielder in the bigs?

His swing looks like my 6 year old trying to swing my softball bat.

He doesn't go after it hard at all. However, he has been playing very well of late so he's doin something right. I still don't like him but you've got to give props when their due

I don't think he did steroids but you never know in this era. IMO, he started to struggle in L.A. and he lost his confidence and hasn't been the same. He doesn't come off as the most self assured person. Tip off is comin up, Go Suns!

He's getting old and he's not doing so bad anyway. He switched his batting stance this year so I'm thinking with age he isn't trying to swing for the fences anymore.

That's what he said. He's shortened his stroke, which improves his average (he's over .300 for the season), but it reduces his power. He hopes the power will come back as he gets used to it.

I feel, as I always have, that homeruns is not the most important factor. I'll take line drive doubles, RBI's, and a higher average, etc., over "big flies" anytime.

I agree, home runs are overrated. Last year 4 of the top 5 home run hitting teams were bad teams. I would take average over that too.

That's true - look at Glaus' numbers. And avg. with runners in scoring pos.

Did you forget about jeter or kahlil Greene?

I was unaware they are Jews...so I didn't forget, I just was unaware. I guess I shouldve realized Jeter was, but Greene? Cool. Well then he's the best Jew in Dbacks history...?

Neither are Jewish. I had never heard that Jeter was jewish so I did some research and found http://www.jewishmajorleaguers.org/. I really don't know why I care but according to that site there were 13 Jews in the majors last year-

There are 13 cards in the set to recognize the Jewish Major Leaguers from 2005, believed to be the most to ever appear in one season in history. These players include Shawn Green, Brad Ausmus, Mike Lieberthal, Al Levine, Scott Schoeneweis, Jason Marquis, Gabe Kapler, John Grabow, Kevin Youkilis, Adam Stern, Craig Breslow, Adam Greenberg, and Scott Feldman. Grabow, Youkilis, Stern, Breslow, Greenberg and Feldman, have reached the majors since the first edition was released.
