Shedeur Sanders

If Sanders is available at our pick, what should Monti do?

  • Select Sanders

  • Avoid Sanders like the plague

  • Leverage the situation to trade down

  • Stick and pick at another position

  • Why is Stout trying to stress me out with this question?

I don't think he'll be on the board, but I do think it's an interesting question if he is.
Trade him for his teammate Travis Hunter? (who also won't be there)

Being in Boulder county, it's all that they can talk about on sports radio... (where these two players go) after the Broncos got trounced by the Bills, loi.

I take him and trade Kyler.
As soon as you take him, Kyler's trade value (whatever it might be) goes down the toilet. (assuming that Monti isn't on the phone at the same time) These types of deals would be hard to get done in 15min unless deals are already in place.

I mean eventually not immediately.

You can keep Kyler a year and let Sanders sit too.

I'm not sure how the team gets better in this scenario. Gannon and Kyler both are on a make or break year. Gannon specifically can't afford the inevitable distraction that Shedeur would be on the bench.

I would prefer trading Kyler prior to the draft if possible.

Sanders will either be a Brown, Giant or Raider after the Titans take Cam Ward.

I would not make the pick to be better next year. That's obvious. It would be a gamble to try to get sustainable success.

It's basically the same gamble that Monti still gets roasted for trading down and taking Paris instead of taking Will Anderson...

I think Gannon gets slack if they're planning to move off Kyler.

I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole, wait a 20 foot pole. I kept reading about how he can go through progressions and moves well in the pocket so I watched several Colorado games and I didn't see these traits much at all. In fact I watched him take sacks when he never should have. Yes, he has a big arm and can break out of the pocket but I don't see him transitioning to the NFL game from college.

I can see Deion being a pest with regards to his son holding out or telling him where to go

I remember him always telling PP21 to get out of Arizona
