Heard on Zeblocksports Radio (Sirius), that the Pistons are considering an offer that the Suns sent over-Sheed/Prince/Affalo for Stoudemire/Barbosa/Tucker--Take it for what it is worth.....I think it is a good deal for both teams.....

Suns need better spacing, But Sheed is old and losing Barbosa kills depth, How about Sheed, Hamilton Affalo.

Sheed
Prince/Hill/Barnes
SHAQ
Nash
Richardson

To many players at the 3.

I wanna get a younger more energetic team. Stoudemire plays like he's older than Shaq nowadays. These guys don't do it for me. WTF is Kerr smoking if he proposed this. Sheed is ancient.

Awful trade.

I don't care how much negative value people think Stoudemire has, he's still worth more than Sheed.

It's clear to everyone but Kerr/Sarver that this team needs to get blown up and start building from the ground up. That means young promising players and picks. Aside from Affalo (who I admit I know next to nothing about), none of these players fit that criteria.

This is going to be a rough transition period. We mortgaged the future unnecessarily and it's not gonna look pretty.

Take out barbosa and it is at least debatable if this trade is a good one.

Position wise, it is an OK deal. Prince is a serious upgrade over Hill/Barnes. Sheed is a bit old but still very servicable. With both Hill and Barnes as backup, Barbosa will not have much minutes left, letting him go is inevitable.

But talent wise, this deal is bad for us. Amare only for Sheed + Prince is fair. I doubt if the Pistons actually want Barbosa, but we don't have any suitabe fillers to balance the salary. Besides, if we have to let Barbosa go, we must get a quality PG in return. Affalo is useless for us.

Find a 3rd team, it might work out well for us. Time for Kerr to work his ass out.

Now that I think of it AI, Rip and Barbosa on the same team, will never HAPPEN, NEVER!!

LB, AI, Stuckey, Rip on the same team?
are the pistons planning on playing small ball until next season?

imo,
Amare and Tucker for Sheed and Prince will do.

Great idea guys.

Lets trade Amare for Sheed who does have solid defense but who is just as inconsistent on the boards as Amare, is nothing but a jump shooter and who is old.

Then we get Prince which would be a slight upgrade for a position that we already have two decent starters at.

AI will be gone next year for the Pistons

If they did this trade they would have a very solid team right now and in the future.

Stuckey/Rip/?/Maxill/Amare with Amir Johnson fighting with Maxill for min.

I've actually always thought that Sheed and Prince would be the perfect compliments in a frontcourt with Amare.

You take Iverson out and give them Amare and they would be a legit championship contender.

Stuckey/Rip/Prince/Amare/Sheed

No Sheed for Amare trades. Trade Amare and I will lose half of my interest in watching them play. I hope Sarver and Kerr know what is good for them.$$$
Amare is exciting to watch. Duncan may be better but he is boooooorring. Sheed, hell no.

Trading Amaré and Barbosa for Sheed who started to break down 3 years ago, Prince who plays at a stacked position and Afflalo, another combo guard who can't play the point... great. Where do I sign ?

If that's serious, I'll start to believe that Kerr is a basketball-****** of epic proportions and not just a bad GM.

It is just a rumor came from nowhere. Bash Kerr because of that, u r the genius.

This rumor has little ground because the Pistons dont want Barbosa at all, they r already crowded at shooting guard position. That's why they want to get rid of either Hamilton or Prince.

After I incorrectly insisted that the O'Neal rumors had to be bogus, I promised not to comment on any more trade rumors. But if I were to comment on this one, I would say it was absurd.

I'm all for trading Amare if the right deal comes along, but this is an awful deal. Now, get Stuckey involved somehow and I'd listen.

The chance Kerr eventually trade Amare is very very slim, next to none.

If we try to get the team better to back in contention, on the top of the list to be traded is Barbosa. He has good trade value plus a reasonable contract, might land us something useful.

If we start rebuild, Shaq should be the first out of the door, he has significantly increased his trade value. A contender would probably offer us a decent package. Hey, how about Shaq for Sheed + Hamilton? That sounds like a great deal for both side.

Keep in mind that Wallace's contract expires after this season. Talent wise this trade sucks though. I want draft picks.

If anything, this would signal the official end to the Suns championship hopes. You would get a big expirer in Sheed, and a SF in Prince that could replace Hill after this year. Kerr could still try and sell the move to fans because we would still be talented, though major holes would be present at backup SG, and a logjam at SF. Someone would have to move over to play backup SG.
