Underworld and Underworld: Evolution director Len Wiseman told Sci Fi Wire that he is developing a sci-fi movie titled Shell Game, which he hopes to set up at Lakeshore Entertainment.
He said he wrote the film with a couple other writers before 2003's Underworld. "It's set about 50 years in the future, and it's about the illegal selling of immortality on the black market. And it's a really cool character piece, and it's quite an exciting project."
Wiseman is currently rewriting the script before preparing the movie for production, which he hopes to begin in Los Angeles next summer. "I'd love to shoot in L.A. It would be a big stage film. It's a full-on science-fiction future world, so it's all constructed and fabricated," he added.
He said that his "Underworld" films star and wife Kate Beckinsale won't be starring in this new project.
