NEW CONCORD — Kayleigh Watkins two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning accounted for the only runs in Sheridan's 2-0 win against visiting John Glenn on Monday in a Muskingum Valley League-Big School Division game.

Hayley Clifton and Watkins accounted for all four Sheridan (4-1, 4-0 MVL-Big) hits with two singles, while Cora Hall went the distance in a four-hitter to get the win.

Libby Brown singled twice and Kendall Snider tossed a complete game for John Glenn.

Crooksville 4, New Lexington 3 (8 inn): Rylee Chamberlin singled home Maelee Collins with the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to back 11 strikeouts from pitcher Elyse Baker in an MVL-Small School win in McLuney.

Collins also clubbed a homer and Rylin Driggs doubled for Crooksville (8-0), which had seven hits and built a 3-1 lead . Faith Greene and Alexandria Pyle had two singles to pace New Lex's seven-hit attack.

Mia Metzger went the distance to take the loss.

River View 4, Morgan 3: Rylee Lechner launched a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning to propel the Lady Bears to an MVL-Big School win in McConnelsville.

Allia Rush doubled and singled and Myka Augenstein singled twice for Morgan (4-2); Laney Kangas twirled four one-hit, shutout innings before being lifted in the fifth. Regan Foster struck out 10 in a complete game to get the win.

Addy Blair added a two-run single in the fifth for River View.

Tri-Valley 14, Philo 4: Paiton Murphy clubbed a two-run homer and Alivia Reffit tripled and doubled with three RBIs for the Scotties (5-2) in an MVL-Big School game in Duncan Falls.

Ashlyn Davis went the distance with 10 strikeouts to get the win. Lauren Leas added three singles, Ally Peterson doubled and singled and Delaney Bell had two singles with two RBIs for the Scotties.

Kyleigh McGraw had two singles for Philo (0-3).

Meadowbrook 8, Maysville 2: Addy Wiggins cracked a triple and double and Sommer Ginn added three singles for the Colts, who improved to 8-1 with an MVL win in Byesville.

Natalee Norman pitched six innings to get the win. Jenna Spillman's two-run double paced Maysville.

West Muskingum 13, Coshocton 3 (6 inn.): Addy Antonetz clubbed a triple and two doubles and Mireyah Reese smacked three singles in the Tornadoes' MVL-Small School road mercy.

Kadie Bare struck out seven in five innings to get the win; Savannah Gambill and Mallory Stamper had two singles for Coshocton (0-8).

Watkins Memorial 12, Zanesville 1: Jacy Severance pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts for the visiting Warriors in a Licking County League-Buckeye Division game.

Ayawna Gladden's double led ZHS.

Garaway 3, Ridgewood 0: Audrey Miller struck out 13 in a three-hitter for the Pirates in an Inter-Valley Conference-South Division game in Sugarcreek.

Maggie Shannon's two singles and Ava Kulbacki's double paced Ridgewood (4-3). Addison Lahmers struck out 12 to take the loss.

Zanesville 7, Watkins Memorial 4 (susp.): Canon Mercer's three-run homer and Caleb Underwood's double were the big hits for the Blue Devils, who lead after six innings in their LCL-Buckeye game at Jay Payton Field.

Sheridan 15, John Glenn 0 (5 inn.): Brody White and Noah Wamer combined on a three-hitter and Cole Cashdollar drove in three runs with a double for the host Generals (2-0) in an MVL-Big School win.

White had two singles with two RBIs and Noah Wamer singled with three RBIs for Sheridan.

New Lex 3, Crooksville 0 (susp.): The Panthers lead after four innings behind pitcher Clay Miller, who has allowed one hit in their MVL-Small School game in McLuney.

Miller also has a double.

West Muskingum 5, Coshocton 3: Ashton Ansel twirled a three-hitter and Conner Lynn singled home two runs for the Tornadoes (3-2) in an MVL-Small School win at Lake Park.

Ansel, spotted a 5-1 lead entering the bottom of the sixth, struck out 10 strikeouts to get the win.

Kolton Tidwell singled home two runs and Calan Shaw and Jerison Spain doubled for Coshocton (2-2).

Tri-Valley 7, Philo 1: Brady Kaufman struck out nine in 5 1/3 innings and also clubbed a double for the Scotties (3-0), who scored three times in the first inning and never looked back in an MVL-Big School win in Duncan Falls.

Kade Hindel clubbed two doubles, Kian Drummonds singled twice and Isaiah Cullins drove in two runs with a double for Tri-Valley.

Maysville 4, Meadowbrook 1: Slade Shreve's two-run single in a four-run sixth inning was the big hit for the Panthers (1-1) in an MVL-Small School triumph in Byesville.

Josh Gooden singled in a run for Philo.

Jake Deal struck out nine in five innings to secure the win; Kale Riley pitched two innings to earn the save. Gunner Davis piled up 14 strikeouts in a complete game for the Colts (0-1).

River View 10, Morgan 4: Layton Massie drove in three runs with two singles to pace the visiting Black Bears (1-4), who benefitted from nine walks and four Raider errors in an MVL-Big School game.

Carter Wesney struck out four in six innings to earn the win. Jude Garber's three singles and Mason Winner's double and single led Morgan (1-3).

Grove City Christian 10, Rosecrans 0 (5 inn.): The Bishops (2-1) managed only three hits and committed six errors in a Mid-State League-Cardinal Division road loss.

Coen Grandstaff had a double and to pace Rosecrans, which trailed 3-0 entering the fifth inning.

Garaway 15, Ridgewood 0: Blake Herman tossed a one-hitter for the Pirates (3-1, 1-0) in an Inter-Valley Conference-South Division game in Sugarcreek.
