I'm thinking yes... I haven't been that impressed with Oklahoma and I think Auburn should get a chance to win the national championship...they've had a a harder schedule I think... USC doesn't look that great to me away... all there hard opponents were at home...

Both Auburn and Wisconsin are playing better than Oklahoma is right now. This is why the BCS sucks - very rarely are there two teams that you can say without a doubt are the two best. We need a 16-team playoff!!

Not only the BCS but also the other polls..they have them all ranked lower.. I guess close games don't make a difference..

I totally agree with you though!

I don't understand this "Auburn and Wisconsin are both playing better than Oklahoma". - Oklahoma has the two best players in college football on the same team. White and Peterson, Last year Heisman winner and this year Heisman winner, Pick your poison . They just beat two top twenty teams on their home fields. Texas a&m is the toughest place to play in the country. They get OK state best game every year. Ok State lives to beat OU. Great teams find a way to win. I agree we need a playoff so that it will be decided on the field.

I just haven't been totally impressed with Oklahoma - they are a very good team, but you can't say without a doubt they are one of the best two teams. Auburn and Wisconsin having been destroying their opponents

Well the BCS put Auburn in the top 2 if they win next week? Beating a #5 team has to really help your rating, doesn't it?

Wisconsin beat U of A by a missed field goal - U OF A - they are exactly where they should be. The Big Ten sucks and it has for a couple years - even when OSU won the National Title.

Auburn gets to prove itself next week - but Wisconsin doesn't impress me all that much - U OF A.

If Auburn beats Georgia this week , it will be their first big time win of the season.

Sep 4 vs Louisiana Monroe W, 31-0
Sep 11 at Mississippi St. W, 43-14
Sep 18 vs LSU W, 10-9
Sep 25 vs The Citadel W, 33-3
Oct 2 at Tennessee W, 34-10
Oct 9 vs Louisiana Tech W, 52-7
Oct 16 vs Arkansas W, 38-20
Oct 23 vs Kentucky W, 42-10
Oct 30 at Mississippi W, 35-14
Nov 13 vs Georgia 3:30 PM
Nov 20 at Alabama TBA

Tennessee was their biggest win. LSU at home wasn't defining.

I don't see how you can say Tennessee wasn't a big win - the Vols have a very good team.

That is exactly what I did say. I said Tennessee was their biggest win. In Knoxville.

Geez Jon. Sorry for the screw up. I assume you are a Tennessee fan. Let me reconstruct what I thought I said. If a top ten team beats another top ten team or two, their credentials are validated. Tennessee , like Miami is in a rebuilding process. Both teams were probably over rated early. If Auburn beats Georgia, a top 5 team, then they are probably for real a #1 or 2. The teams above them have not done that. If Georgia whoops Auburn then the point is moot. My intent was not to denegrate Tennessee. They are a good 7-2 team and ranked 18th. In order for Auburn to jump Oklahoma or USC, they will probably have to clock Georgia or the other 2 must lose. The Vols are looking at a 9-2 season.

Auburn should bump right past Oklahoma in this week's poll. Auburn just clocked Georgia. Wisconsin got exposed big time by MSU. The next 2 weeks should be fun to watch and follow.

I love College Ball.

Yeah, Auburn was impressive as hell. I'd vote them over Oklahoma. But, they have two dangerous games left.

How about those two RB's they have? That's just sick.

Is USC getting a free ride from the media and polls? based on being left out last year. I think OKlahoma and Auburn are the two best teams.

Auburn / Okie #1 & 2. USC maybe 3rd. Definite free ride. Pac 10 is weak this year. Wait until next year when Norm Chow gets the job at BYU he deserved and USC loses him as their O.C. BYU got blasted again last night by rivalry Utah and finished season sub .500 again. The Gary Crowton era/experiment is over in Mormon land.

I think anyone of the three have a good reason to say "We got screwed!" if they don't make it to the title game. Sure, Oklahoma and Auburn have stronger schedules than USC (although I don't think either one played somebody as good as Cal). But, how can you justify a defending National Championship team going undefeated and not getting a chance to defend their crown? That's why USC is a lock for one spot.

Alabama's defense played out of their minds in the first half yesterday. I can't see anybody, even USC or Oklahoma, playing better than that against Auburn's offense. If Auburn makes it to the title game, they win. They are the most complete team I've seen this year.

Also, UCLA is just as dangerous to USC as Alabama was to Auburn. An upset is not out of the question.

I don't buy that for a second. The Pac-10 has TWO teams in the top four and it's thrid team CRUSHED the Co-Big Ten Champion.

Besides - when you look at USC's schedule - they have beaten the 14th and 16th ranked BCS team handily (Va. Tech and ASU) and they beat the number 4 team in the coutnry as well.

Auburn's case is pretty strong also having beaten the #8, 13 and 15th ranked teams in the BCS.

Then we come to Oklahoma who's top wins are over the #5, 19 and 22nd ranked teams (adding in that they squeezed out the last two wins as opposed to domination on the side of both Auburn and USC in their non-top six games) - add in further to that that Texas is a complete joke - they always p;lay one tough game a year - AND ALWAYS LOSE IT - they are not impressive IMO - not nearly as much as say Georgia or Cal.

Personally I think the title game should be Auburn v. USC - that would be awesome - but I believe we'll see USC V. OKlahoma and Oklahoma will get roleld just like they do at the end of every season. I'd like to see Cal somehow play Auburn - that would be a sick game, but I'm pretty sure that's not possible.

I will concede to USC , if they take care of Notre Dame this week. But then there is UCLA the next week. Parity has come to college ball. 85 scholarship rule has worked wonders for distribution of talent.

P.S. You maybe can admit the Va Tech /USC kick off game was tainted by horrible calls by officials. That should have been USC's loss.

I agree, I think USC and Auburn are the two best teams..... I think Oklahoma would get crushed by either team. I feel sorry for Auburn.
