Don't take it personal. I admit it. I got satisfaction out of the fact that the scrams got beat in the SB that year. I didn't think they were that great of a team and they got real lucky just barely beating the Titans the year before I think it was. The fact that he left the Cards like he did and then went to St Louis chapped my ass. It has also has to do with St Louis running my Cards out of town back in 1988. I am still sad and bitter toward the powers that be in St Louis for that. If AW had gone on to any other team besides the one in St Louis I probably wouldn't feel the contempt I have toward him that I do. It is a multi-faceted thing with me.

Yeah, I don't take it personal, I simply think it to be a little silly to wish him to lose in the SB just because he wanted to move on and win some games, maybe go to the SB at the end of his career.

However I can see the cummulative effect with St. Louis and the Rams etc. etc., that is understandable to me.

Exactly!! I think his whole thing was he would rather retire healthy, or go to a team close to winning something and play on a few more years. I'm sorry, but I cannot blame him for that, and I certainly don't have ill feeling towards him for those comments.

I love the man, but he'll never get there.

and why is that? Why wouldn't he make it? Other than never winning a super bowl? A lot of people in the hall of fame haven't done that.
