Should we risk getting our prized Philly injured in the next 2 weeks?

Should we risk DJ health by playing him in these last 2 games?

  • Yes, you should always try to win, especially vs Seattle

  • No, what would be the point of taking a chance on losing him for next season

Is it worth pushing David Johnson hard vs Seattle and L.A. in 2 meaningless games? Do you think coach is wondering the same thing, or is he in win at any cost mentality? Would the front office ever step in in this case and bring up the question to the coaching staff? Do you think they discuss such a thing?

Crazy talk! He has a chance to break NFL history and be the only bright spot in a terrible season. You absolutely owe it to DJ himself and the fans, and more so even game plan to get him and Fitz the majority of the touches. Fitz can end the season leading the NFL in receptions and DJ can get 1000/1000 and be first player in NFL history with over 100 from scrim for 16 straight games! Sitting DJ would be a slap in the face to fans and worst of all to DJ himself who wants and deserves those records after having a career year behind a make shift Oline!

DJ having a once in a lifetime type season and you want to take that away from him and the fans? I don't get it, the kid is having a blast and want those records, sitting him would be the worst thing this organization can do!

Fans would say yes. But when you love the game so much, you always want to go out there and play.

1. "Philly" is shorthand for Philadelphia.

2. If you mean "filly" --- a horse reference, even that is off. "Filly" means sexually immature female horse

Opposite way to view it: 2 more games = 2 more games' worth of experience.

If you sit him to save him, you're treating DJ like a privileged character, setting a questionable example for the other players and possibly messing with team culture.

They already started cutting back his carries as a RB last week & put him out as a WR more often (especially after the departure of Floyd).

I expect that trend to continue over the last 2 weeks of the season to give him a chance at 1000/1000. The Saints were bracketing him with double coverage a lot last week & I'd expect that to continue the next 2 weeks too so it'll be tough for him to get there.

I never understood this line of thinking, it's a loser mentality IMO. There never meaningless games especially to those who paid top dollar to watch the team play. Good time to watch younger players play, and see if the old timers still have it in them to play hard for a contract next year.

Anyone feel any different today? Or is there anyone else like me that feels that meaningless games are for 2nd stringers for the most part. We came damn close to possibly ruining our future yesterday in a game that meant nothing except in regards to the draft order. Is it really worth it? Really?

No different today then any other day. Is he supposed to wrap himself in bubble wrap over the off season too? You don't have 44 second stringers as you put it on the roster. I guess we should not play any pre-season games next year, someone might get hurt, or why practice somebody might get hurt.

No different at all.
