With OLine in shambles, protect the future.

It pains to say it but shutdown Rosen. Nothing good is going to happen to a rookie behind this line.

Help the future doing the inconvenient thing in the present.

He needs to get a heavy dose of Kurt Warner film... O-line sucks?? Get rid of the ball faster!!! This isn't BA's chuck it 30 yards every play offense.

As Trent Green noted in the broadcast he was getting hit on 3 step drops and was getting rid of the ball pretty quickly there is no reason that pass pro can't hold up for that long. Andre Smith is a joke, I won't be too hard on the interior line as it is a rookie and 2 guys who were cut out of training camp for other teams--there is just a talent deficit.

Only if we are down by 35 in the 4th quarter. He was in a walking boot because Wilkes had him throwing the ball with no time left
a couple weeks ago with the game already lost

As with aikman’s first year, valuable experience. If Rosen breaks, we will have a top pick lined up. Play the kid...

Even if Rosen gets hurt behind this abomination of an OL, there is no way the Cards take a QB in the first 3 rounds.

It is not too late. Protect the future. I don't like it but this is a necessity now.

This tells us (given the fact that we haven't had a competent O-line in years)
That we should have looked for a poor mans Russell Wilson instead of a (maybe) Carson Palmer clone.

I wouldn't have picked Lamar Jackson over Rosen... But given our crappy O-line, it would be fun to see what our record would be, if Jackson played all the snaps Rosen has...

Any guesses?

We don't have a real feel that he is the future. Next four games MIGHT tell us. He has to show more than he's shown so far. IMO.

We didn't have a crappy O Line at the time of the draft. Unfortunately, every one of them is gone now, eleven games into the season. His skill has to be developed to manage any situation that comes up, if you want to be a long term QB in this league. Look at that list of most pressured quarterbacks, and you'll also see a few guys heading to the playoffs. It can be done, but must be learned.

Worth noting that even given the turmoil, turnover, and poor coaching, Rosen is 3-5 in his career and should be 4-4 outside of the D bumbling the Raiders game.

Realistically, we should have beaten the Bears and Seahawks also. Had the Seahawks on their heels before the coaching staff decided to shut down the offense, run the ball three times, and settle for a long FG attempt. Rosen was on fire on that drive and we could have gotten 6 or a much closer FG attempt.

We're not that far off from a much better season had a few things been changed (proper use of players, less drops, etc.). Many of our issues have had nothing at all to do with our offensive line, IMHO.

I'd be tempted to shut him down in games after it has gotten out of hand. (Pulling him late 3rd quarter, etc.), but honestly, all we really have left this season to watch Larry play two more home games. Quite possibly, his last two home games. I'd like him to have a QB for that.

Between tanking games for a draft pick and benching Rosen to protect him, it's hard to understand the philosophy of some fans. No one wants their QB to get hurt but "protecting" him sends a message to the whole team that there is no belief in them. How do you overcome that later? How does the rest of the team feel about Rosen being more important than all of them? I understand the fear of injury but does the upside really outweigh the downside?
