Blow it up? Because its January and this team is still in the playoff hunt...

in the hunt to make the playoffs. big difference between that and contending. Stop with the "anything can happen" nonsense unless you have some factual support showing the suns can win the title this year. teams that are contenders know so by this point. Boston, Orlando, L.a, Cleveland, San Antonio, etc. The suns are not. we know it, the other teams in the league know.

Wow, last time I checked games still had to be played. I don't have to have factual support to back up my opinion, because in reality with all you proclaiming this Suns team is over is just an opinion. Stats make you feel bigger and badder, making you feel like your opinion is right because you have facts to back it up, when in fact, IT IS JUST AN OPINION.

The suns will not win a title. There is nothing opinionated about that. An opinion can not be proven wrong or right. What i said can be proven right, and it will be. You're just a homer who thinks the team has a shot no matter what. The suns could be down 40 in the 4th quarter of game 4 of the first round, down 3 games to none, and you would still come tell us they have a shot. You are the only one who thinks we have a shot. Nobody else in the sports nation really thinks the suns are going to contend.

And yes, having facts to back up my "opinion" does make me feel that it is right. For example, I could say that right now it is Tuesday. That is a fact. Based on that fact, I can conclude that in 1 hour and 20 minutes when it turns midnight, the day will then be Wednesday. Do you dispute the fact that Wednesday comes after Tuesday, or is that just my opinion? The suns winning and not winning a title is that simple.

Games still have yet to be played, but they aren't meaningful in the long run. We'll see them win some and lose some more. Big deal. Bottom line, the suns aren't winning it all this year. Go ahead and quote me on that.

Yeah because Wednesday coming after Tuesday compares to whether or not a team wins a championship.

Let's just agree to disagree, because this is going nowhere and quite frankly I am tired of this.

It's black and white, no gray area. The suns will not win. Tomorrow is Wednesday. Begin to accept these things.

Agree to disagree.

That writer just made the parallel from Chauncy Billups doing what he is doing for Denver, to Udonis Haslen or Luis Scola doing the same for the Suns...

The most viable option right now is just to wait things out till 2010. You cant trade Amare unless you are getting someone back to build around. One poster mentioned LaMarcus Aldridge and that is a good player to build a deal around for Amare.

This is scary. I just had a conversation last night with an NBA beat reporter who was on his way to the Boston game, and we had this same conversation. I suspect this was inspired by that reporter carrying over the conversation into press row.

I raised the subject.
