I doubt the Knicks would give up Lee for "nothing" (they already have Stat) when they will use him to get another prized FA. So whether Gambo says or not - Lee won't be coming to Phx.

Might not be worth a max player, but he will probably get max or very near max dollars because of the lack of FA's on the market, especially big men.

Yeah, I'm sure he'll get it. And honestly all things considered I'd pay him the max ahead of Amare and Bosh.

And I'm sure he'll draw interest around the league as he could likely be the marquee as long as Melo and Durant extend and Oden doesn't dominate returning from injury.

Yea the time to land Lee via S&T was prior to Amare agreeing to a 99mil contract. If we wanted Lee we needed to have Amare as leverage. Thats all done.

By the way how is Amare going to be an improvement over Lee in NY? They trade 20 and 12 for 25 and 6. Unless they land another big name Stat is going to be trashed in NY next year.

Lee is not some pawn who exists for the sole purpose of helping the Knicks get better without him. He is an unrestricted free agent that is likely getting a lot of interest from teams like Chicago and New Jersey. He's not just sitting around waiting for Donnie Walsh to tell him where he'll be playing next year.

Unless the Suns are going to use it now the trade exception is worthless going into an obvious lockout year or new CBA. It's 1997 all over again.

Right now the possibly 2011 free agents could include:

- Carmelo (said to be signing a 3-year extension)
- Tony Parker
- Caron Butler
- Tim Duncan
- Zach Randolph
- David West
- Yao Ming
- Glen Davis
- Jason Richardson

Yahoo. We've got space.
