I just watched this one. All I've got to say is : :|

The only part I liked was the very end when Olive does her dance routine at the pageant.

Wow, how could you not like it? It was stinking hilarious!

I guess the situations themselves were comical, but they didn't really make me laugh. Maybe it was their deadpan delivery or the serious feeling the film had. I dunno.

I guess driving around with your dead father in the back of the WV bus was funny, but it didn't really make me laugh. And I'm easy to amuse.

I was really expecting to like it as well, but most of the scenes that were supposed to be funny just made me uncomfortable.

That's too bad DeAnna, I thought it was one of the best, most well-written comedy in a long time.

Just watched "Volver" with Penelope Cruz. That movie was amazing!

Penelope was great in the role of a young mother (who was pretty resourceful and a survivor). I guess you could say it was a dark comedy, but not really; more like a mystery. Well, maybe not....it had a couple of different genres thrown in there. :)

I heart Pedro Almodovar.
