I read the trilogy a long time ago. First and second books were good, third fell a little flat.

The show has made enough tweaks to stuff that I’m very engaged to see how they finish it out.

Started this while on a work trip. The first two episodes were great and pretty intriguing. Since then, it’s been a slog. I think I’m about to start episode 6. I hope it gets better as it’s barely able to keep my attention at this point.

Just finished the first season. It definitely picked up over the last 3 episodes. Wasn’t the ending I was expecting, I thought perhaps Allison and Holston might still be alive and living with another group of people.

Look forward to seeing where it goes from here.

You can read the first book. It definitely goes a lot farther than the show has thus far.

That's for the reminder. I'll start my binge of S1 tonight. I wanted to rewatch it before S2 starts as a refresher.

BTW, they list it as the 15th but those of us out west will probably get it Thursday night if they follow the old release patterns.

S2E1 was very good. To stay true to the story, the writers had to get creative--and they did so in excellent fashion. As to the actual filming...ugh, we don't have to make the viewer unable to see much of anything for giant chunks of time for us to understand it's freaking dark! Really awful.

Anyone who read the first book knew there would be a lot of exploration and zero dialogue at the start. Bringing in flashbacks that are relevant not just to the engineering task at hand, but that further build her character and flesh out the world, was wonderful. Hearkening back to the rebellion that broke open and "ruined" this silo was also spot on.

I have it on the watching slate for tonight after the fight. Finished up my S1 rewatch last night in prep for it. Can't wait.
