Stay with me on this one...but remember when Seth Joyner was in AZ and played all over the defense, because of need/injuries? I think Simmons is next generation Joyner...Bigger, faster, stronger...and I hope Simmons can bring a similar attitude (not sure if it's in him) that Joyner had.

I was thinking about Joyner yesterday in this regard. I recall being shocked that we actually played him at safety for a game.

I think that'll be the case for most of the season, but hopefully Simmons can start pushing Campbell off the field pretty quickly.

I think Alford beats out Murphy easily.

I also have real doubts about Baker the further he's playing from the line of scrimmage.
I agree with all of this

Buc was good too, not trying to discount his play. Isiah is just different and exciting

I think the comparision should be a little closer to Adrian Wilson a very big safety for the time he played in in that regard Simmoms could be a Hall of Fame player btw wasnt Wilson in that 230 lb range man could he play the position though

I really didn't get to watch much college ball this year (first time in my adult life). I was busy coaching my son's 13U travel team.

So my question is: How is Simmons any different than Bucannon was? i.e Jack-of-all-trades master of none?
Simple answer: Talent level I read a quote somewhere today, might have been one of Simmons college coaches, "you heard the phrase, Jack-of-all-trades master of none; well Simmons is a MASTER-of-all-trades player."

IMO, right now it's still an IF, but IF Simmons is coached well and develops well he can be a generational player! He has that type of athleticism!
