You really think Ray Lewis or Luke K wouldn't be great players if they were Cards? Interesting.
I think it is very possible, yes.

Who's to say that these LBs would have gotten a chance?

Me? Ray and Luke were generational talents...even the Cards couldn't screw them up.
I never count out the Cards wasting talent.
Yes, but there's some myopic view by some board members that it's dumb to draft even HoF-caliber players if they don't play a premium position.
Very true.

So Simmons who showed several times to be bad aligned and confused to read plays will call plays for the entire defense? Just asking

Like I said, enjoy it for however long it lasts. It may be the new normal. It may be out the door by week 4.

For every Ray Lewis there are what, at least 10 Lane Johnson's?

This Org doesn't help itself. They drain confidence from these kids have doubtful answers "I saw SOME good things from X tonight" and "He's heading in the right direction, slowly but surely". Crap like that. You want players to play with belief, you have to give them that.

They messed both Simmons and Zaven around as rookies.
And therein lies the rub. Good point, Brit. You have to be able to recognize the gems and know when to draft a non-premium position player that high.
