Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Commits To A Lead In Noir Sequel ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’

http://www.deadline.com/2013/01/jos...ll-for/#utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will make his next film Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, the Dimension Films sequel to the stylish noir drama that Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are directing based on Miller’s graphic novel. I’m told that Gordon-Levitt will play the role of Johnny, a part that the filmmakers originally offered to Johnny Depp. He’s one of the core characters in overlapping story lines that feature returning players like Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, along with newcomers that include Dennis Haysbert. Other tough guy actors will be added, with Gangster Squad‘s Josh Brolin among the potential names I’ve heard.

I thought the original was just OK. Some really cool visuals but more eye candy versus actually a good movie IMO. Expect much of the same. Not sure if I will see this in theaters.

Whoever played the parole officer from the first one...um, wow!

Of course, the tasty was just an added bonus to the first one. I know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but the noir elements combined with the visual approach really nailed it for me. I hope the second one does the same.

My bride and I really enjoyed this. It is definitely on par with the first one. 4 out of 5 stars for us.

I liked the first one but the second one was 10x better in my opinion.
