we have only scored 30+ points (a mere 4 tds and a fg) five times since going to the playoffs five years ago. our opponents have scored 30+ on us twenty-six times in that span. we have not really come close to doing it this year - but have given up 38 to seattle, 37 to st. louis, 42 to detroit, 44 to cleveland, and barely didn't vs. pittsburgh (29). if these stats alone don't signal complete coaching overhaul, what does? we hardly ever score, and give up huge amounts of points to just about anybody. there is no hope with this kind of production.

exactly. the last "blowout" game we had that i can remember was in 2001 when we beat carolina 30-7. it was such a funny feeling watching the cards win and being relaxed at the same time with a 3 touchdown lead. imagine getting USED to that...

Not really come close this year? We had 24 on detroit and Johnson dropped a TD pass in that game. I honestly don't recall but I don't think we scored on that possession, so if he catches it we get 31 in the first game. Scary how little we've scored since, 24 in game 1, 112 in the last 9(12.44 per game)!

The turnovers are partly to blame but we just don't have anybody but Boldin and Shipp making big plays on this offense and SHipp is seeing defenses stacked against him.

but this trend of completely impotent offense has been here throughout the mcginnis/trestman/olsen/sullivan campaign. only once a year do we score a healthy amount of points. without a ravens of 2000 defense, were never going to win.
