"We're going to come out Monday night (against division leader Arizona), and we're going to rock," he said, channeling his inner Motorhead. "We're going to fight, kick, scratch and hopefully win the game."

So what you're saying is that your team is going to show up on a monday night game, at home, against the top team in the division and play hard

that's bold mike, very very bold

In other news, Mike Tomlin said the Steelers "really will unleash Hell this time"

Nah what he's saying is that with the division basically lost and their season over that their time would be better spent as a group of traveling musicians.

now that makes more sense

MO, I don't know if anyone else has said this, but I would like to offer a personal thanks to you and your team for the game they played on Sunday. Reminds me of the Cardinals when they ocassionally played the role of spoilers. It shows the character of the Seahawks and the pride they refuse to lose. Good game.

honestly, I don't think you guys need any help

the cards are clearly the most complete team in the division and i've stated all year that I'm not buying what the 49ers were selling

they have some good pieces, but have way too many gaps to be a playoff contender

i think seattle and the 49ers are pretty much the same team this year and now they sit with identical records

playing them at home is a game I expect seattle to win

the cards win last night did more for their season than anything seattle has done

and now maybe ray ratto can use his mouth for consumption of food instead of spewing niner greatness as some kind of legit contender this year

By the mere sight of him, he does alright in the "consumption" department!!

Interesting to see where each team's head is at for the Monday night game--

for the Cards, they are coming off a big win against a very well regarded team. The Cards have had issues with prosperity.

For the 49ers -- they had the "if we win, and the Cards lose to Minny -- monday night is for the division" thing going......... and it just went down like the Hindenburg.

I wonder how they will react to going from seeing Monday as a playoff type game to one that is far less meaningful.

The Cards can clinch the NFC west with a win -- and Wilson and Dockett are on record saying they owe the 49ers for the game earlier this year --- I think the Cards bring their A game.

Seattle vs SF

I watched the Seattle vs San Francisco game. San Francisco in my opinion clearly out played Seattle and blew the game. In the first half and into the 3rd quarter the Seattle team threw very little and kept running into the SF line and going nowhere. The offensive calls to me were horrible for Seattle. When SF had the ball they seemed to move at will throwing the ball on most downs. How Seattle won that game is a miracle. SF is going to be tough team and are unlikely to blow a game like they did with Seattle. They are clearly a better team than Seattle and I still am amazed they lost that game mostly on mistakes.
We got a big break with Seattle winning and would have to lose every game to not win the division. Even if we played Matt I think we would win two games. After watching Matt in his only start I am more comfortable with him but do recognize he is no Kurt Warner. He may be called upon before the playoffs are over with Kurt and his hip and concussion issues. I think he must have absorbed a lot over the past two years watching the games and talking to Kurt. In the end it will pay off I pray. Great players really work hard every day. I hope Matt has been doing that and has lost his party boy image. The only ones who really know are the coaches and players. Kurt is highly respected and the team leader. Matt needs to be displaying that leadership even when he is not playing. Warner and our receivers seem to have a very special relationship and can read each others moves on a consistent basis. Warner has a lot of special abilities but his ability to read the defenses and know where his receiver will be and have the accuracy to get the ball to them is as good as it gets. There are QB's that have stronger arms, can scramble. are bigger but they do not have the special talents of Kurt. The Giants would be a better team with Warner than with Manning but Manning is younger so I can see why Kurt is gone. Lucky us. I doubt any of us figured just what we got when we got Kurt. Many were still calling for Matt to start as he was our golden boy, Heisman winner, and QB of the future. He still is but in the meantime Warner has helped bring this team from the depths to the limelight of the Superbowl. He has set a standard that will carry on after he is long gone and that is we can be winners in Arizona No longer the laughing stock of all of football. When a team plays us now they had better be ready to play football. Losing only one road game! Who would have even thought that? 8-4 with 4 games left? I thought 8-9 wins and possible winning the division. I now wear my Cards cap with pride and not hear those jokes from my buddies.

The main issue is going to be the weather. Right now it's raining as I look out my window, it is probably raining in SF right now too. it's EXTREMELY cold here right now, in fact in Sacramento it's snowing in some of the higher elevations, they are actually closing some schools because of the cold in Sac today.

The storm is supposed last much of the week, haven't seen any forecasts out to next Monday but it's conceivable we could be playing in some bad weather or the field could be in bad shape after a week of storms.

i fifth the motion that samurai mike has lost it a bit....the best part of his micro rant is "hopefully win the game" this behavior does not last too long with a team signing up for this stuff...that's ther beauty of kw....no talk all action win or lose....sort of a modern day chuck noll type.

Weather Chan 10 day says dry with a hi of 60 and a low of 49 for 12/14. If that's the case, weather won't be a factor

I guess I have to be the 4th person to say "DEAD ON" with this comment.

His days or years already are numbered. He can only do so much.Especially with the offensive coordinator he has right now. That guys a dinosaur. He's not going to be able to create a new team.I love the heart they CAN play with. Some of their players are very tough and play over their heads also.

They just can't win with a tightend and rb based offense. They will need more team speed and a better secondary next year. They get two very top picks so I'm hating that too. They've been drafting much better of late. Can they sign them in time to effect the season they were drafted in is the big question.LMAO:D

I think their problems are more coaching than anything else. Mike Singletary would make a great defensive coordinator, but I question him as a head coach, just as I question Jim Mora junior in the same capacity. But I ain't complaining. Hopefully both teams continue stumbling, bumbling, and fumbling their ways to sub-500 records for the next few years. Keep spending the big bucks on those top ten draft choices and hope they contribute.
