Numbers are overvalued, but scouts and GMs absolutely place value in them. If that one scout hadn't fought tooth and claw for Boldin in the 2nd, he was falling. That scout earned one hell of a bonus.I think way too much is made out of workout numbers. Personally, I don't believe an extra .15 on a stopwatch is that important in overall evaluation.
As is someone like Monti is sitting around thinking, "I love this kid! We have him in the top 50 on our board!"
