Maybe there aren’t as many members on the site from Tucson. McMillan is one of the best WR in this years draft - most likely a first rounder. He probably should have his own string. Feel free!

As for Skattebo, if you are a fan of football, you can’t honestly say you weren’t in aw of his performance down the stretch. I’d almost say it was legendary. Having his time on the site is warranted. McMillan tried for UofA, but they were “terrible” as Charles would say.

Yeah, I don’t get the vitriol for Benson. Barring injury, me thinks the kid flashed last year and will make people choke on their dismissal of him this year.
I don’t think there’s much “vitriol.” I just don’t think he showed enough to be convinced he’s the back of the future last season. There’s a world of slots between those two positions.

Just like there’s a world of difference between what you just said and the comment a couple spots above mine where he was called a bum…

i know I’m a Contrarian on this but I believe Tebow could have succeeded if the NFL wasn’t so set its way. I’d be curious to see, for example, how he’d do with a run first team like the Cardinals. He was fine on short throws and not easy on pass rushers. Teams found him hard to prep for as their scout teams really couldn’t accurately emulate him. His team would have had trouble with a backup QB who could effectively run the offense if Tebow was injured. No team wanted to completely revamp the offense and rebuild it around a runner. Of course the Cards have a line skilled in pulling and getting them in front of Tebow would have been a challenge for any defense. I suppose they would have pulled up both safeties, but Tebow wasn’t terrible on medium tree routes. It was considered a big risk to wholly change an offense, so no team did. I think it would have been fun.
Jalen Hurts is that much more talented than Tebow. Just different usage.

I'd agree with this take. He didn't play enough. Played well at times, played meh at times. He's got physical talent, but he wasn't able to be counted on to be the guy right away.

On what? I am not going to bet that he fails to beat out Eno's 300 something career yards, but I'd wager he never has a season of more than... 700.

Or that by his 4th season he will be on a roster besides the one that drafted him... or be out of the league entirely.

I'd certainly wager that he hype on this forum is entirely because of his college. Don't know how you'd quantify that, but I'd bet that if you took all the top forum from each team's fan base, he has been talked about here more than on all the other forums combined.

Hell, he is the most talked about player in this draft on THIS forum by a gargantuan margin. This thread is rapidly catching up to the thread on Marvin Harrison.
You made a pretty interesting claim that Skattebo's reminds you Eno. It was clear that I asked for a wager on who would have the better career. Either accept or not. It isn't a big deal either way.

For the record, I have only seen maybe 2 ASU games of him playing living in Colorado now. This isn't a 'homerism' claim.

I said the hype, here, reminds me of Eno.

Eno had several long threads, praising his selection as a coup, much belly aching over us not playing him enough and then when he got cut people acted like it was a war crime... all the while the only real appeal was that he went to ASU. If not for the school he came from he probably would have gotten about 10 mentions in total.

If you want to wager that Cam never hits 700 yards in a season and/or is off his first team (or out of the league) by the end of his rookie deal, I am game.

He's a 5th or 6th round prospect that I expect will yield 5th or 6th round results.

So no on my wager, no worries.

Eno Benjamin has exactly 431 career yards, and yet you compared Cam to him. Do I think he will have more than 431 career yards? Absolutely!

Do I think he ever 700 yards in a season and/or is off his first team (or out of the league) by the end of his rookie deal? I'm not sure. I'd have to see what the yield is for 5th or 6th round RBs before making the decision.

Skattebo is one of the toughest calls in the draft. Evaluators differ extremely on his skills translating to the NFL. HE’d be a bit of a luxury pick. That said, if he’s there at the Cards’ third round pick, I’d take him. His ceiling is a Connor type player who could wear down an opponent and then exploit them. He is not the receiver Larry Centers was, but he’s better than Connor. He’s probably not as good running inside as Connor. Still he has skills that I think translate. Connor will be hard to replace. The biggest plus is his determination that reminds one of Connor. Skattebo punishes would be tacklers. He inspires other players. He’s a valuable asset. I think the potential outweighs the concerns.

You definitely don't sound like a bitter U of A fan here.
