This kid I will now affectionately call "Big Boy" is doing good things. Even when he makes a mistake, its usually just throwing to the wrong receiver. Nice first TD pas Big Boy!

I like him! That bouncing off the sack by Ware and scrambling again was very Roethlisberger like.

I've been trying to think who he looks like and I think I got it. If Ben Afflack and Jack Black had a love child it'd be John Skelton. Flackback. I know that's weak but . It's been a day of celebration . He does look like that though.

I agree, Desertdawg...

You can tell he's "green" but his composure seems to have a calming effect on the team. The o-line looks much better in protection. I like what I see of Skelton. GO CARDS! :D

McGee is in his second year and the Cowboys are running better, I think it's a draw.

In a van...down by the river.
Ya'll may have something in Skelton.
He's a pretty decent athlete for a big QB(this stands out to me the most) and he has some confidence.
IMO ya'll still should look for a veteran in the offseason but Skelton has some tools and looks to be a worthy project at worst with a high ceiling.

If you beat the 49'ers, this Christmas will be the best ever!

That last 2 min offense was run almost to perfection by Skelton... granted he sucked most of the night but that was pretty good.

Homie did good, didn't lose the game. I like him. For a rookie in a game like this, it looked like he thought Fitz was gonna be covered every play.
I wanna see the 9ers game so bad now.

His first comeback victory of his career. Didn't look great for most of the game but really pulled it together when it counted the most when the game was on the line.

I don't know what it is about Skelton. His stats suck but watching him it doesn't seem like he does suck. Yes he has some dropped passes, but I don't know. I can't place my finger on it.

In that case I don't think McGee is better. Thought he was a rookie as well. But Skelator has had more live action recently so I'd agree it was a draw. That throw to Fitz really evened things out.

He has 'it'. He is no where near ready to lead a NFL team but he has shown he will be very capable to do so. We may finally have a true qb of the future.

Ok, freaking fine....I think Skelton shows a lot of Roethlisberger qualities out there. I am excited to see what he can do with some solid coaching, and some more time with Larry and the offense.

He's a rook, and he makes mistakes like he is ought to do, but damn if he doesn't show really good feel of the rush, good decision making and escapability.

Color me intrigued.

This was his 3rd game... give the rookie a full off season.

How many passes have you seen him throw 6 feet over the WR's or at their feet??? Compared that with DA and Hall.

On the contrary, for some reason, he has several of his passes dropped by usually reliable receivers (Fitz, Breaston, Hightower) in all three games.

He has taken only 5 total sacks in almost same attempts (76) as Hall (78) who has taken 14 sacks. I like his mobility.

There's a lot to like about him, and he goes into really dry spells but in the end he did good.

He's a third string QB with two wins out of three games, none of which has looked pretty.

Not time to get excited but not time to feel depressed either, he's done almost as well as you could really hope for. I like him.

I'm not sure who is available in the FA market otherwise we should look to trade for one. Going with Skelton as a starter next season will be high risk. He will be a pretty darn good #2 at this point.

"Really, nothing's bigger than beating the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Day right now," Cardinals rookie QB Skelton said. "Whiz (coach Ken Whisenhunt) was shaking my hand before the game and I said, `We have one last gift to unwrap.' Sure enough, it took the last minute, but we got it."

Skelton was being interviewed by the NFL network crew after the game and Card hater Deon asked him if he was a Cowboy fan, being from Texas; Skelton told him he grew up rooting for anyone playing the pukes lmao.

Then Deon told Skelton the crowd was half Cowboy fans; Skelton told Deon Card fans have to pay for their season tickets somehow, might as well sell them to puke fans.

I hope Skelton tears the 9ers up so there is no question he is the One.
