Right on, Big Man it is. Good head to head match up with him and Dalton, if Skelton can keeps his picks down, we can let our defense do the rest.

Their time of possession is about even steven, TDs, tournovers, all that good stuff. Everything suggests this game will be close, but who knows what that means. Would be really nice to have Beanie go off in Ohio, gonna be a battle.

Good. We need a Ben R or Flacco style QB to play teams from that Division. The Bengals were 6-2 and then went 0-3 vs Steelers and Ravens.

Id say thats pretty much the end of Kolb for the year then, if the Cards dont make the playoffs. If Skelton plays well this week and the Cards have a chance of making thenplayoffs next week, i highly doubt Whiz would start Kolb.

Yamon, I think both teams will go after the other's QB pretty aggressively. Probably even end up with the same amount of sacks, hope not but I'm hoping we at least match them dance for dance.

Skelton is durable and can scramble big man style with out having to worry about his head, just about where the firstdown marker is. Size does matter when the pressure keeps coming, I hope Kolb is all right though, hope it's more precaution and not something that is lingering.

Hoping for a good start from the get, road games are tough and we don't want to lean on the defense too much ealry, even though our red zone will keep them kicking long ones in the cold.

nice

over 60 yards in the air! we aint had an arm like that since Josh! It is funny He's starting for the bears! He hung 400+ a couple times,

Kolb should be much better, but isn't, Skelton is improving each start.

There will be no safeties via John Skelton this week, it will go down like this.

Seems very clear to me why Skelton will start. He has won more games and played much better. That is sort of what the game is all about. Winning.

What a coincidence that "BIG RED" is written in that end zone!

Another point in favor of starting Skelton in Cincinatti (not that it necessarily was a factor that Whiz considered) is that he should be no stranger to cold weather football.

I think it's wise when Kolb said he is still feeling a bit of the hit, that the coach goes with Skelton. Skelton has done some good things for us especially win! He has a great arm, can move in the pocket and can run for a big kid.

But please don't anoint him the man just yet. Kolbs and Skeltons numbers are very close. Against the Ravens Kolb put up big time points and was very good against the Cowgirls for a half. IMO if Kolb was truly 100% he would be this weeks QB. The team needs to know if he can lead. But I guess we won't know until mini camps, Camp, and pre-season for next year.

The only way I see Kolb getting any snaps this year is if John falls flat on his face or if we happen to lose Saturday ( I hope we don't that's what I want for Xmas) he could get the pig skin for the last game at home.

Could be ugly, but should be fun also. For some reason, I feel at peace regarding this game. No matter how the game may start, we'll somehow find a way to have a chance to win. This team won't quit and will battle to the final whistle. Dalton vs Skelton, with both teams vying for a playoff spot. I think this will be a very interesting game. I also think the Chargers/Lions game will be hugely entertaining!

Kolb did suit up in Philly for 4 years and resided there. He should be OK with cold weather as well one would assume.

Today's NYT says that Skelton has won more games as the Cardinals quarterback than Charley Trippi. I would hope so. Trippi was a running back. Paul Christman was the QB back then on the great teams.
