As most of you know I hate to post anything positive about any Cardinal player for fear the Duckjake jinx will ruin their career.

But after watching Big John Sunday I just have this feeling that the guy is our QBOF. He sits well in the pocket. Has good size and a solid arm. And it looks like he even has the intangibles.

5 years from now he'll be the guy people talk about when others say you can't get an elite QB in the late rounds.

Go Skelator.

If he can show he's got the goods in these last 4 games, we can pick up a decent QB in FA and draft a pass rusher (Bowers, Quinn) with our first pick.

More likely that Skelton will get rocked on Sunday. I have high hopes for him for the future but he is just a rookie and I don't see him coming out on sunday and reading defenses and dumping off when blitzed....and he will be blitzed often.

I didn't get the win I wanted for my birthday last week but I really believe I got something better. A qb that will be able to run our offense in the future.

Rookie QBs don't get sacked any more or less than they do the rest of their careers. It's on the Coaching staff to have a game plan to counter the blitz if an opponent decides on an all out attack on a rookie QB.

There's more than one play, the dump off, that can beat a blitz. It's up to Fitz and Breaston to make those quick slants pay off and TH and Wells to make the quick counters work.

The Cards don't play any crappy teams because no matter who it is we are crappier than they are. But even if we were playing the Patriots Skelator would still ROCK!

O, you probably know this but DJ is on of the most positive Cards fans that I know. He just believes in the reverse mojo. He's so good at it that I get sooooooo pissed and want to lash out at him but my brain knows that it's just the mojo.

This thread scares me.

I'm just hoping Skelton gets some playing time without getting crushed by the opposing team's blitz. He needs to learn by getting playing time but the coaching staff needs to devise a game plan that allows him to get experience without getting maimed. I am no longer concerned with winning, just developing what might be the Cardinals QB of the future.

In the prediction thread you (Duckjake) have Denver winning 54 to 6. How can Skelton be seen as the QOTF from this game if the score turns out that way?

But Skleton can still throw for 350 yards, just verytime we get in the redzone, THT fumbles and Denver goes down and score.

I sure hope Skelton can hang in there. He looked good for the short time he was in last Sunday.

Also keeping up with a qb signature has been tough his season. :)

All I want him to do is be steady. Let's hope our coaching staff don't set him up to fail....like throwing 80% of the time.
