<---- Notice the # on my icon, that's in honor of The Eric Swann. Sweet, I can wear my Swann jersey to Rattlers games.

Could go after Andre Wadsworth too... Or has he admitted defeat?

Seriously? At age 37??? It's gotta be a money issue.

he's got about as much chance as Mean Joe Green getting back into football shape.

Swann looked to be in excellent shape at the Cards golf tourney in May. But there's a huge difference between excellent shape and NFL football condition.

Perspective: Shaq just turned 36.

I know, I know, different sport & all, but I'm just sayin'...basketball is a DAMNED demanding sport...

Yeah, but he was a defenseman ... talk about taking a beating.

I don't disagree that basketball is physically demanding, but football is harder on the body long term.

Eric Swann

article in the paper today saying Swann is trying out for the Rattlers. He was dominant when he was healthy. I hope he makes it never had any hard feelings about Swann just to bad could not stay healthy.

I was at an event with Swann last year and he is incredibly fit and has a great attitude... I would love to him get another chance... he loved being with the Cardinals and he is one monster of a man... I'm just sayin'

I agree--I'm just saying it's not INSANE.

He wants to lose 35 pounds before he starts playing? Shouldn't he have lost that weight months ago if he had been planning on coming back?

Hmm...

Hey, A big dog is a big dog.

Ted Washington played until he was 40.

Eric Swann has that crazy power that can still be effective.

I'm not doubting his ability. I am doubting how long he has been pondering the decision. If he knew a month or two ago, he could have used that time to shed the weight so that he'd be helping the Rattlers right away. If he just woke up and decided that he wanted to do this......that would be better I guess. I didn't get that feeling from the article though.
