Ok, KOBE & TMac are out of the question. Time for plan C...

I Like the porspect of Vujanic, but with Nash out there I think he makes a HUGE impact on out team. A deadly outside shooter & a tuff nosed PG who loves to run is exactly what we need.

Nash struggles on D, but with the Suns he would have alot better defense inside to cover for him...

With the remaining cash we NEED to add a BIG. For me its a toss up between Dampier or K-Martin...

IMO Martin would change this team alot. We would have tuffness, shotblocking & tons of speed.

Amare/Divacs?
Martin/Amare
Marion/Zarko
JJ/Barbosa
Nash/Vujanic

That looks awsome to me...

I won't get into signing Steve Nash too much. I think he would make the team much better, but it's going to take a lot of money to get him. They would possibly have enough money for Dampier. There's no way they could sign both Steve Nash and Kenyon Martin though. They would have to also move Howard Eiseley.

at 6'10 and 245 amare could play a little center. but you are talk about moving him there full time. to get martin we would have to give him a max contact. even at that he isnt as productive as marion. do you really want to hear everyone bitching over us having him paid the marion and not even being that productive? everything that martin is amare is that and more.

i am not saying i have all of the answers. i just think that we shouldnt buy into names, we should let this team grow together before we bring in a bunch of names that may not do anything for us.

I think bringing in martin would only hurt amare. I mean look what happened to the magic when they tried to play to similar players together in their starting five (gooden and howard) ... they sucked and gooden didnt get much better

K-Mart is going to be very expensive and is not a center. I don't see this putting the Suns any closer to winning a championship.

If they cant get Kobe, I actually like the idea of going after Nash and *guh* Martin. (can they afford both?) As much as I hate Martin I think he would be a very good fit for this team.

Nash
Johnson
Marion
Martin
Amare

That could turn out to be a very solid lineup, but somewhat small. but that has never stopped phoenix before!

Detroit isnt a BIG team.

They use their speed to create havoc. IMO the new way to defend. Swarming speed.

Amare
Martin
Marion
JJ

Those 4 alone are all very fast & above avarage defenders. Not to mention they can all score.

I dont know how realistic it is to think we could sign both Nash & Martin. But I do think it would make one very very good team...

Amare (the main lowpost threat, good rebounder, growing into a good defender)
Martin (Nasty defender/shotblocker, will get several dunks per game)
Marion (Garbage man, will score & make steals without needing plays setup for him, solid defender & rebounder)
JJ(our best player at creating his own shot, also nice defender/passer)
Nash (The deadly outside shooter we need, a tuff nosed PG who runs a halfcourt set as well as he pushes the ball for fast breaks, his only weaknessis his defense but it shouldnt be a big problem with the team speed & defensive ability we would have at every other position.)

Backups:
Vlade (Or I could live with little Jake as a reserve)
PF ( maybe our draft pick?, Amare would get min's here also. Lampe?)
Zarko (he could push for alot of playing time, with his slashing & passing abilities)
Barbosa (quick defensive player, who is deadly when set up for the 3)
Vujanic (Who better to teach him how to play than the guy he is compaired to)
