Well, we know who Adam Snyder wants at QB.

My gut feeling is that one of these guys just might be here, I don't want that but if you look at the draft, as many of you that are high on Tyler Wilson, I don't see Wilson as a guy we should have at our top spot. Do any of you really see Wilson better than Smith and Vick? I don't. Smith was highly touted and was a number 1 pick. I'm sorry to burst your bubble Wilson fans but he will not be our first choice come draft time.

The time to draft a QB was last draft. Now you see how the Kolb deal has destroyed us. Even if we wanted to make a deal for RGIII, we could not because of no second round pick. That also screwed us to possibly draft Russell Wilson. I wouldn't be surprised if we go T, TE, RB, QB to start our draft and end up releasing Kolb(John Clayton reported that the Cards don't owe Kolb any guaranteed money) and Skelton and then draft another QB in the mid rounds. Smith or Vick will more than likely be our QB going into 2013.

God if those are our only choices I'd have to take Smith. I don't want Michael Vick anywhere near my favorite team.

But it'd be like as a kid when I had to hide my veggies in appelsauce to eat them because I really don't want Alex Smith as our primary QB option next year either. ONe of the options yeah I could live with him, THE guy, no thanks.

I would take Smith over Vick but still say we draft a QB in one of the first two rounds.

Oh and tell Adam Snyder we also need a new RG. He sucks.

If it is between Vick and any other QB - give me any other QB.

Smith.

I would easily take Alex Smith over Vick. If Vick hasn't gotten how to play QB in the NFL by now, he won't ever. He is a dynamic athlete but not who I want to pin my hopes in 2013 to. Alex Smith provides the team with a capable QB (nothing special) without having to give up draft picks and allows us to continue to upgrade the rest of our team. I would still draft a QB, but I would more comfortable taking a player like Ryan Nassib in the 3rd or trading up back up into the 2nd to get him than having to take one with my first two picks.

One thing to consider about Alex Smith is that even in an ideal situation (San Fran) he still left his team wanting for more production from the QB position. He won't get that much support in AZ.

I agree. Could not support the Vick choice.

For me it's like this, I've been a Cards fan since 74/75 as a kid. I could never NOT be a Cards fan I suspect, but I couldn't root for Michael Vick in a Cards uniform.

It would be extremely difficult for me if the Cards did something like that.

Alex Smith by a mile.

He would be a good fit until we can find a star in the draft.

Been following the Cards as long as you have. I also could not root for Vick wearing Cardinal red.

I would take Alex Smith hands down. With Vick you get some electrifying plays, but Smith gives you consistency and can occasionally light up an opposing defense while rarely having a terrible game to offset the good one.

I'm assuming, Smith passes the "brittleness" test. Vick does not.

If the two are otherwise similar in talent (with Vick having the edge in experience), I'd opt for durability over experience.

I want the Cardinals to sign Smith. He will find the open receiver and actually put the ball in the right spot. Plus he is not going to turn the ball over (throw pick 6's) like our current QB. You are going to be able to win with Smith.

Vick hangs on to the ball to long and gets nailed.

How could you burst my Wilson bubble by anything you said, which would be your opinion backed by opinions of those who have no idea what goes on behind the doors of the Bidwill ice cream compound. And Wilson is at the least a possible equal to Smith in my opinion and better than the current old Vick :)

I'd be happy enough with Vick as a stopgap until we draft a franchise QB. I could less anymore about the dogfighting; he served his time and turned his life around for the most part. Besides, a lot NFL players don't have the best off the field behavior; if you worry about that you might as well watch another sport. Vick had 275 yds/game combined yards of offense this year, and 300 the previous 2. That is still pretty good production and on a team with QBs who have to run for their lives, Vick is a good fit (until we fix that of course, not a good long-term strategy). Smith would be OK but doesn't exactly excite me.

I forgot to mention that Vick was also a former number 1 pick as well.

I really don't have a favorite out of the two. I would say Vick if I knew he could get back to the level he was at recently. I don't think that we can or should take that chance again though. Smith would be the safer choice and if the Niners were dumb enough to let him go to their rivals, Smith could use it as a huge motivational tool.

We could get Vick and change our name to the Arizona Pitbulls.

F*&*&^&^--)( Vick. He is done as a qb anyway. The heart is no longert willing.

Smith by a long shot.. but again it isn't going to matter if we don't make massive changes on the offensive side of the ball. That means O-Line, RB, QB, OC, and playbook.
