We ran 61 plays on Offense and 76 on Defense, with Cinci holding a very modest edget in TOP, 31:15 - 28:45.

Some insight I noticed from snap-count charts:

1. RB rotation has been set for several weeks now. CJ gets a little more than half of the carries, with Ellington holding firm at about 40%. DJ is on the field for about 10%.

2. Haven't seen his name mentioned in quite awhile, but Stepfan Taylor is still on the team. He's pretty active on ST, but has only been on the field for 31 snaps on the season thus far, last occurring in the Cleveland game.

3. John Brown recovered enough to get back to his 90%ish of plays. Most of Floyd's snaps went to JJ Nelson in what was far and away his most involved game plan this season at 62%. I'm guessing BA's plan was to spread the field deep with his two speedsters.

4. I thought we'd see more Jaron Brown, as to me, his style seems to emulate Floyd's, but he was only used slightly more than usual at 26%.

5. For the TE group, as noted last week, Gresham seems to have taken over the #1 spot from Fells, even though Darren has been active from his injury for a few weeks now. Darren actually saw less snaps this week than last, but the TE group as a whole saw less action against the Bengals.

6. It seemed Iupati was going in-and-out of the game early with his stinger issue. He only missed 8 plays for the game, filled in for Watford.

7. This was Calais's most active game, playing 95% of snaps. I wonder if he was too worn out at the end of the game when Cinci was mounting their comeback. Gunter was back up to his usual 40% of snaps. Stinson got the call to fill in for Frostee when he got injured, and Freeney remains right around his usual 30%.

8. For the LB group, Golden played more downs, 46%, than his unusually low 16% in Seattle. That is closer to what he was playing before Okafor got hurt and his snap counts jumped into the mid 80%.

9. PP missed time for the first time since SF. This time due to injury obviously, whereas last time was due to SF ineptitude.

10. Seems crazy, but #20 Buc hasn't missed a play since Detroit in week 5. :stick:

That's about it. Last time we played SF, we got to rest a bunch of starters. Hope that holds true again.

Really would like to see Stinson get less snaps because dude has practically been invisible the whole time he has stepped on the field this season.

Would like to see Xavier get more snaps. Can't be worse than Stinson.

Late in the game I noticed that CC stayed down long enough on one play to be removed from the field, (injured). As he was leaving the field, he was holding his abdomen as if he had suffered perhaps a strain or tear. I can't say if this was a problem before that play and he just played through it, or if he was only hurt for a short while, but I would guess that he was not right for a good part of the game.
