I saw this picture and instantly had the desire to go camping in the snow. Never mind that I am completely ill equipped to do that. Maybe I need to plan something with my brother. He has a canvas tent with a wood burning stove.

I have snow camped - but it has been awhile and no longer have to equipment - but a great experience

I snow camped. Froze my ass off on the rim. First time camping up there with a buddy. My buddy melted the sole of his shoe off trying to stay close to the fire. We only had a small tent & a couple of sleeping bags. We went to Forest Lakes for breakfast the next morning & decided one night was enough. :)

Proper gear is all it takes. Forest road 300 is closed most of the winter FYI.

lol... snow camping for me translates to "Renting a cabin"... I dont do cold.

but have loads of fun man, the woods are always awesome!
