So does the price for Palmer or Kolb go down?

With seemingly fewer potential trade partners, do the Eagles and Bengals become more apt to deal?

I think so, and with the 49ers taking a QB, it's doubtful Alex Smith will re-sign. They were trying really hard to sign him to a 1 year deal before the lockout (probably for security incase there was zero or little off season).

Not like it matters. Tonight on NFLN they said thete was a "wink and a nod" agreement that once the lockout ended Bulger was going to be a Cardinal, that coupled with Wiz's ability to get FA scrubs and rumors that he's going to the Cards as early as last season tells me Bulger is the guy no matter what.

While I don't have any idea about whether the price for Palmer or Kolb goes down, I do believe that by having so many of our competition for those two taking QB's in the draft, we certainly should be better slotted to compete for their services. Much of the competition should have dropped by the wayside because of their actions in the draft.

Meanwhile, I don't see a oversupply of running backs for us, even if we let Timmy test the free-agency market and find that he is not going to command the kind of salary he wants because of his poor ball security issues. We could probably bring him back cheaply and have either him or Beanie to offer as trade bait in going after either Kolb or Palmer. Meanwhile there is still Hasslebeck, Smith, and McNabb to consider as stop-gap QB's, and yes, (even Bulger, the least of my preferences).

It's been mentioned that if the Bengals secured a QB that Mike Brown will relent on his no trading of Palmer stance. Beanie and next year's #2 for Palmer. Philly will want too much for Kolb.

Sounds workable and doable....and I like Palmer better than Bulger.

I wouldn't mind that trade at all. I might even throw in a 3rd since we f that up every year (joking) Seriously I would throw in a 4th. I think that is fair compensation to Cinci and a 2nd, 4th and player is worth it for a team as desperate at QB as the Cards are.
