Just don't let the politics get to you. Unless you're as extremely far left of the extreme far left as they are, then you simply went home :D

In all seriousness, I hope it goes well for you. The area is beautiful, it seems pretty cozy, and you can definitely cheer well from afar. I can attest to that.

Getting away for Arizona politics is not a small consideration, the folks downtown disgust me

Portland is awesome, you'll love it. As to the thread title, are you old enough to have heard the BBC radio shows? Some of my favorite books of all time.

LMAO where do yuh thunk the quote comes from.

I was listening to the original airing of Hitchhikers on BBC radio, unfortunately I as well old enough

Once you get out there, can you do anything to fix Greg Oden's knees? Good luck on the move.

Get ready for lots of rain!

I'm up in the Tacoma, WA area and I hate it. It's beautiful when you have clear/sunny days, but they are VERY rare.

That picture you see is a once a month view in Washington. Everyone talks about how beautiful Mt. Rainier is up here...but you see it like 4 times a month! I'd much rather see Camelback every day :)

Not true. The pacific Northwest is a mix of hippy, liberal douches and wacko, fascist gun nuts. :)

See photo ... this is what I hope to be doing on a sunday

You can do that on Saturday and the other 36 Sunday's. The Derminators won't be the same without you two.

Sailing is cool but we like this better.

If I'm racing one of those boats I could care less about rain, just wind

Ah I should be more specific ... It isn't just sailing I could do that here it's racing and it is very aggressive

West of the Cascades=hippy liberals, East of the Cascades=fascist gun nuts.

It's a very easy rule of thumb: The greener the surroundings, the "greener" the inhabitants.

Truth.

Portland is a great city. Any idea which part of town you're moving to?

Oregon is fantastic. I grew up there, and miss it tremendously. Beautiful country. Very liberal, which grows old, but I don't like people much anyways. I really miss all the water, and the laid back atmosphere.

Nidan,

Thanks for the tickets earlier this year. Let me know if I can return the favor when you come to visit.
