The odds are that a QB drafted #1 overall is more likely to be good than bust. If Murray was primarily a runner than I would maybe agree on that front of comparing him to other "running QBs", but he is absolutely a pass first QB or at least he was at OU. Of the last 20 taken #1, 15 of them were pro-bowl QBs.

He is referring to the history of the NFL and his physical limitations statistically say he is Way more likely to be a bust. He’s using 50+ years of history with those measurable.

Ironic to say, considering everything you say on this board is pretty much trolling.

Keep pretending Kyler has no red flags. We know it’s BS, but keep planting your head in the sand, or plugging your ears and saying “lalalalala” whenever anyone points out the issues.

If Kyler had “100% succeeded at everything,” we would have heard about Kyler being the unanimous #1 overall pick long before Kliff Kingsbury inked his contract with USC.
Of course there are red flags. Name one player in this draft that doesn’t have a red flag. Geez, it’s almost like people are hoping Murray fails so they can say they were right.

I’m not sure the Murray fan club understands our concerns about Murray leaving for baseball. It’s not like we think he’s going to drop his helmet in the middle of the opening drive against the Lions and fly to Oakland... it’s more like two years in, after getting beaten up behind subpar offensive lines and two concussions, that he realizes the rest of his career is better suited to a sport where he won’t have CTE at the age of 32.
If he leaves because he can’t hack it or isn’t any good then even the Murray backers won’t care he leaves.

He has a ton of red flags compared to the two defensive studs available to us, but the past is past. Singular focus on Murray. I do hope the guy succeeds, I just can't stand the over-the-moon defense of everything out there.

If he leaves because he can’t hack it or isn’t any good then even the Murray backers won’t care he leaves.
That wasn't the point of that post though... it's not that he's going to leave because of a lack of talent, he's going to leave because it's basically the most sane thing to do for his health and career in the long term. I mean, hypothetically. It's not like it's a foregone conclusion, just something that would have dropped him way down my draft board if I were a GM, coach, or owner.

Bosa has injury questions along with the fear of political views being decisive. Williams has questionable stamina issues as well as only excelling for one year.

Many people point out Murray’s game against Alabama yet not to many people mention Williams basically disappeared against Clemson.

There are guys that were drafted in the first round they will be out of football in 3 or 4 years. Let’s hope it’s not any of our guys.

His political views have exactly no meaning whatsoever

Williams didn’t disappear against Clemson. Hell, he was the only guy on that Front 7 that played worth of anything. Same for the Georgia game as well.

That’s not my opinion. It was talked about the the nfl network because of his kapernick and racial and/or homophobic comments on social media.

It was talked about and as his own teammate (Sherman) already made a public statement on... NO ISSUE.

I kind of think his signing bonus is tied to fulfilling his 4 year obligation. If he were to bolt to baseball next year the Cards would sue him to get back the pct. of his bonus money.
And spend more in legal fees doing so.

just seems like trolling at this point

Murray haters don't have one shred of evidence to hate him other than to hate him

He has a lifetime of evidence that he's been successful...yet you hate.

I gotta call trolling

It makes no logical sense to be hating on a guy who's 100% succeeded at everything he's done.

It's like driving to a restaurant that has 10,000 5 star reviews of the food and you are driving there yelling 'this meal is going to suck!' It's just dumb to say
Same could be said for the Murray fellaters. You ******* him even though you have not one shred of evidence to ******* him than to ******* him. And his "lifetime of success" is one season as a starter. Not exactly a large sample size.

I’m happy for him. But the concern was there before the draft. It wouldn’t have stopped me from drafting him. My point is every player in this draft could have been red flagged about one thing or another.

So because one teammate comes out talking about it not meaning anything means that other guys all feel the same way? I'm not picking sides..but it's an unknown. It COULD be an issue.. or it might not. Imo

I call trolling when someone hangs on one teams board while having another team logo as their avatar.Last I heard you are not the posting police.
True, you've been here forever so that's far from being a troll lol. I just joined at the end of last yr. I asked him about the Chargers logo, he said something to the effect of getting tired of driving to the Cardinals games from So Cal or something like that? Was a Cardinals season ticket holder for yrs, now that he's closer to the Chargers he has switched teams. He's here all the time, if we start winning again he may convert back over lol?

His height & playing in what some people have called a "Gimmick" offense in the past would've kept him from getting drafted by a team at #1 by any other team but us. His results in that same offense & our HC running that offense plus his scrambling ability is what got him drafted #1 to us. Every player has flaws, if we say otherwise then we're just kidding ourselves. He's what we have to pin our hopes on now, no matter which camp we were in prior to the draft. I'm all in, I hope he is as electric as our front office thinks he is? I know BM played in the same offense & went #1 to the Browns but he is more of a pocket passer & just a shade taller lol.
