So this just dawned on me.. This will basically be a Steelers home game.

What? Fans enjoy the underdog and I have a feeling a lot of the fans will be pulling for the Cardinals. Also, Tampa is a NFC city.

Having been in town at a hotel in AZ during the Super Bowl week years ago when they first had it there I can tell you that who goes to a Super Bowl consists mainly of very rich people who just go to go.

There won't be much of a homefield advantage for anyone, there never is.

Well this is encouraging.. I base this assumption on the fact that they have fans EVERYWHERE in bunches.

Yeah so?

The type of fans you are worried about aren't going to go.

There will be about 20k of those tops.

The rest will just be rich quite people with about maybe 10k Cards fans due to the fact this is so special.

It will not be a big deal trust me.

We already have an advantage. We have inside information. We've had a mole who will tell us all of the Steelers' secrets and innerworkings.

Someone who has crossed over to the darkside...

A northeastern team vs a southwestern team in a Super Bowl played in the southeast. I'd expect out of the crowd that does care that it would be about 50/50.

Really this is a HUGE advantage when you think about it. Some Steelers fans are probably a bit torn on this game. Of course they're going to cheer on their Steelers, but it's got to be hard for them to cheer too much against the Cardinals.

The NFL will offer the same number of SB tickets to Cardinals and Steelers season ticket holders. Then after that a big chunk is given out to other NFL players, teams and sponsors. There was a post a while back with the % breakdowns. But I think there are more people in the US that hate the Steelers than hate the Cardinals. And who doesn't love rooting for an underdog...I think it will be a rather Pro-Cardinals crowd. But the SB is not usually decided by the crowd like other playoff games are.

The Steelers travel better then most teams in the entire NFL. That Stadium will have a TON of Steelers fans...gauranteed. Fans will use credit cards, take out loans, beg borrow and steal. There are a ton of regular fans that go to Superbowls.

Cards fans.....start breaking open the piggy banks.

also, don't forget the Cards draft heavily out of the southeast. We have a lot of players from that area.

DRC, Dockett, Campbell, Boldin, Hood, dansby, and others. These guys have a lot of money and will be bringing people. We already have heard from DRC. Piecewise they will be small blocks, but together they are gonna add up to a solid group of Cards fans.

It doesnt matter what a fans says about a team. Fans dont play the game.........the players do and they decide the outcome. But i commend your team on a remarkable run......impressive.

No trolling...............

I heard we're the "HOME' team...

which means we get to wear "RED". KOOL! As for the crowd?? This'll be interesting. The Steelers have fans everywhere because of their rich history. BUT the Cards have fans scattered across the Nation, too, and America luvs' to root for the under-dog. BUT hey, we're in the Super Bowl. After 41+ years of waiting, ANYTHING negative I'm just going to put cotton in my ears and walk the other way. GO CARDS! SHOCK THE WORLD!! WE BELIEVE!!!:D

The last two SB's the Steelers played in, the crowd estimates were about 70% Steelers (vs. Cowboys) and 80% Steelers (vs. Seahawks).

There are LOADS of tickets being sold online, and I can guarantee you that Steelers fans are emptying their accounts to buy those tickets even as I type this.

Yet oddly I do not remember crowd noise being a factor in either game.

Good. They'll go broke to watch a loss. Should do wonders for the Pittsburgh economy... buncha depressed people with no money.
