So we're 1-1, let me see if I've got this right....

and a blocked punt by Femi. Both teams looked pretty good at times and both definately had their problems.

I still like waiting until week 4 to get a general idea of how good a team is playing because not only does it give you a good idea on the team itself but it also gives a good idea and ability to analyse the teams they played.

For example remember how people last week called the Niners pathetic? Does that change now that they won a game against a pretty good opponent?

Shane, contrary to your belief, I'm very upset with how the team played, especially with how the last 3-5 minutes of the game unfolded. It was inexcusable, and I hope the media will address it with the coach so we can get some kind explanation....one is needed.

That said, living through all the bad seasons, especially recently, I'm still very encouraged this year, and this one game isn't going to make me go doom and gloom.

Fair enough.

We lost by eleven.

Do you remember when a less impressive SEA team beat us 38-0 on our home field a couple of years ago? Now that was pathetic.

Do you remember last year when alexander ran up one side of wilsons face and down the other? That was also pathetic.

With the exception of losing hutchison, these guys had a great offseason. They are a good/great team and they have the best running back in football.

Their crowd whipped that defense into a frenzy, and they threw everything they had at us and we we're still in the game in the fourth quarter.

We blocked a field goal. When was the last time that happened?

I'm not saying we played great. I'm not saying some of the coaching decisions were questionable. I'm not saying warner played great or that the pass protection was good, because it was not.

The darksiders' point is taken. There have been several red flags going up in the first two games. I'm concerned.

But the fact remains that we are 1-1, and we have a very winnable game next week on the road. The rams lost the to niners today in case you did not catch that score.

I understand that the coaching and o-line play is questionable, but I'm certainly not going to start freaking out until I see what happens next week.

The biggest problem and the biggest reason for concern is the same ole same ole. This team appears to have the same problems from year to year under Green! You would think at some point they would address the issues. Such as discipline, line play, in game adjustments, decent times to choose for a reversal, poor in game decisions etc........ Why cant this coaching staff do that? Why cant they not quit on us as fans like they did today?

Considering the fact that the Lions blocked two Seattle field goal attempts last week, I'd say it's more a problem with their special teams than something spectacular with ours.

Again, not trying to be a know it all, but isn't Detroit some kind of kick blocking machine? Somebody in my office said that they blocked like eight or ten kicks in the last year or something.

But that's a very good point.

I agree on the Leanord Davis part it seems like we cant through one game without having a false start or some stupid other penalty. Also did Oliver Ross play today I could only catch the 2nd half of the game or is he going to be in the lineup next week vs the Rams?

Technically, that field goal kinda blocked itself. The kicker kicked it right into the right side of the line. It wasn't going anywhere.

Even if the snap wasn't bad that FG was getting blocked. The Seahawks seem to have some serious issues on ST blocking

Maybe it's my uneducated eye, but the snap & place looked fine. It looked to me like the kicker hit the middle of the ball instead of the bottom, sending it rocketing forward instead of upward.

Eh, that's what I think I saw anyway.

The snap wasn't bad but the hold was slightly bobbled. Either way that thing was getting blocked IMO

The Cards are exactly where they should be. 1 and 1. These posters have the intelligence of Dennis Green during our 2 minute drill.

Thanks for adding some perspective, Crimson, but I don't think we blocked that field goal. It looked like he kicked it into our guys' ankles!!!

Somebody mentioned Monica's false starts as well. This is a real problem for the Cardinals. In 2005 they had at least 30 false start penalties I don't know how that compares to the rest of the league but that sure seems like a very high number. That gives them 35 in their last 18 games. Even Blackstock got called for one last year!

It's also a problem they have had for a long time. I forget which game, either Detroit or Seattle, early in 2003 where Anthony Clement had 4 and Shelton 1.
