If Seattle wins are they automatically the 5th seed? Or, how does the GB/Minn game affect Seattle?

Assuming GB or MIN and SEA have the same record:
GB has tie-breaker over SEA.
SEA has tie-breaker over Minnesota.
If Seattle wins and GB wins, SEA is the #5 seed.
If Seattle wins and MIN wins, SEA is the #6 seed.
If SEA loses, they are the #6 seed.
So it is in our control. We can plant Seattle as the 6th seed which would force them to play the Panthers should they win their first round playoff game.
Nice!
but........... while unlikely, what if TB wins at Carolina?

Cardinals fans should root for … The Panthers to lose and the Cardinals to win, giving Arizona the No. 1 seed. Beating Seattle and getting the No. 2 seed isn't a bad consolation prize, however. Regardless of what happens in the Vikings-Packers game, Seattle isn't coming to town in the divisional round as they'd be the No. 6 seed. Arizona would draw a matchup against the Packers, Redskins or Vikings if they secure the No. 2 seed. This is where we start to wonder if it's better to be the No. 2 seed. (It's not unless you're petrified of Seattle.)
It's a long shot but as they say "on any given Sunday". Anybody know when they'll announce the game times for round 2? I am looking at coming home for the game.
If Carolina loses and the Cards win then the Cards get the #1 seed.
Seattle has a hard road in front of them no matter the seed.
As a Cards fan who would you rather play? Seattle, Green bay or Minney. The Vikings would be chomping a the bit to play the Cards again.

If the Vikings, then the Cards D needs to play 60min. That Thursday game turned out closer than it should have been.Perhaps..but the Vikings would be seeing a whole different game plan.
I was basing the question as if the seeding stays as is, so the Cards would only see the Skins in the NCC. Wouldn't that be great thoughYou forgot the Redskins, I'd rather play them.
If the Redskins win and the road team from GB/MN wins the 'Skins come to AZ in the Divisional Round.

True. Missed that. Not true even with current seeding--Vikings at Redskins and Seahawks at Green Bay, if Redskins win and Seahawks win, the Redskins come to AZ the 'Hawks go to Carolina.
Frankly I think Seattle will care much less about winning than we will, they have to go on the road either way. And they aren't scared to play here. I could easily see them phoning it in to try and avoid going to Carolina after having to go to either GB or MN.

If the Rams win at the 9ers Sunday, they'll be 8-8 just like BA predicted...
There is one other possible outcome and that is if the Cards get the #1 seed.If they "phone it in" they may finish with the 6th seed, guaranteeing they go to Carolina if they win...there would be no other possible outcome.
